I do and I do think its worth it.

But then, I don't live near Northampton and cant make it to all the games and am outside Radio Northampton's signal area by about 120 miles

I listen to it when I can't make matches which already this coming season will happen often sad to report & sometimes it's always worth listening to the away team channel for a different view of how good we are or not on the day.

However it's usually a Radio Northampton broadcast so you'll miss our goals if they are at the Saints, Poppies, Dim ones or outer Mongolia as they do Tongue

Worth the money if you live far far away from BBC Northampton signal.
Otherwise forget it.

Hasn't been as impressive the past year. I like the pre-match build up, but it will normally only come on at about 2.55pm. They've got rid of the whole archive (highlights of matches going back to around 2002 I think) which is the biggest disappointment. There's sometimes not even Cobblers commentary! I had to switch over to the opposition commentary for a few games (which is often much better quality although that has nothing to do with Cobblers Player, but the local radio station). I won't be renewing in a few weeks.

Well as i attend all home and most away games I would only need it for sampsons interviews and players interviews - as that is published in the paper I guess its not worth it for me then.

I used to use it before it didn't work more times than it did.
Shame really because for us out of towners it is the only way of getting the Cobblers 'live' fix.
I haven't had it for at least the past two seasons and I haven't missed it, I rely now on the texts I receive both home and away during the matches to keep me up to date. Roll Eyes

Somebody gave me their password so I get it for free. The guy told me he hasn't renewed it for a couple of years but I can still get it. At the price I pay, well worth it.

Had it for half of last season and the last 6 months of the season before.  Personally thought it was a bit pants.  Commentary was hit and miss and anything of any importance in the interviews would usually be in the Chronicle.

Sound quality is awful, it's like listening to commentary from Mexico 86!!!!  I always end up listening to the oppositions commentary, it's much more clearer and they're clearly using microphones rather than plastic cups from a vending machine and string.

The NTFC supporter take up cannot be great.  How much does the club, if any, get from this?
If they improved everything about it, I might sign up for it again.  Cool

The response I got for why the archivr has gone:

"Last year you will have noticed the site moved from World to Player, this was to enable people using Mac computers to access the site and also to improve the quality of the video and the general look and feel of the site. This meant we were not able to carry over the old content you had enjoyed in World, the archive will build up over the course of the seasons and we apologise that you feel there is currently not enough content on the site. The match highlights now go back over the course of the whole season."

I find it hard to believe you can't upload a load of videos onto Player.

Well if nothing else, all this has clarified my decision and until more content is available I will make do without it esp as it will just be archive and interviews that I would use.
