Congratulations to the Proper Dons, what a great few years they've had, welcome back to the Football League!!!
Welcome back? AFC Kingston Upon Thames have never been in the league.

It's interesting to read the "We won" thread on the AFC forum and see just how many club's fans are going on there and pouring scorn on the Franchise bunch. It's nice to see it isn't just a territorial pissing contest with us and football fans in general resent what happened with Wimbledon/MK.

Really pleased for them, I've been to see them 4 or 5 times this season as they're my local club. Always a good fun day out.
Be under no illusions, they won't be here to make up the numbers, they've got some quality and lots of pace.

Well done to the 'proper' Dons and welcome to the FL. I'm relishing the prospect of them having a chance to play the franchise next season, and knowing some of the ties that have come up in cup competitions before, there's at least 3 chances for the two Dons sides to play each other. Hopefully they'll cause an upset and that MK lot will never live it down.

Ditto to the REAL Dons! Good to hear on Magictv...10,000 Luton..8000 Wimbledon...pretty poor tbh..a case for deciding venues later...as will be proved by the Torquay v Chavanage sizzler coming up at Old Trafford! Charging non-league fans nigh on £50 a ticket might have had something to do with it as well...

I think the majority of people would support that.I'm sure we could come up with some suitable replacements for the word "Dons"

I've just switched on the AFC Wimbledon game on Sky and saw the fans queuing outside the ground for their first game back in the league. I found myself with a big grin on my face and a shiver went down my spine. I envy them today; the sense of achievement they must be feeling today must be immense. The culmination of a rare nice story in football.

Yeah, judging from what I've seen so far it might only be a short return - they look absolute dogs***!

They don't look too bad against a strong Bristol Rovers side. But their strikers are a proper weak link!
