I am obviously very pleased to see England win again against the alleged number one test team in the World. However the sportsmanship shown by the management and captain over the Bell incident made the match for me. It proved that the "Spirit of Cricket" is still alive and kicking even at the top level. I play against many South Asian teams out here and some of them are the biggest cheating cants you have ever seen, but in general the Indian teams rank the best for fair play closely followed by the Sri Lankans, however the ****stani teams are mostly banned from our club because of their cheating, to the point that our first team captain at one point had to be stopped from inserting a stump(no not his middel wicket) into the face of one of the cheating **** captains. The Antipodeans aren't much better than the ****s with the Kiwis only just fairing marginally better than the Ozzies. The South Africans are a bit mixed in this, but all of the When We's (Zimbabwean for "When we were Rhodesia) have been very fair.

Having played many seasons at a decent level, for a predominately Indian team (well what else would you expect in Luton???) I have to agree with your comments. They are a very hospitable and generally honest bunch of people. Far more so than their neighbouring country Having said that I suspect in time the full truth regarding the Bell incident will come out. I'm not suggesting the threat of withdrawing all of the UKs foreign aid was used, but I suspect there was far more to the outcome than has been divulged so far. Time will tell. Side note - they were going to name one end of the ground after Ian Bell following his innings, but decided it might not be a good idea
