Back in March 2011 Luke was being tracked by Marco Tardelli, Ireland assistant manager.
However nothing much has been mentioned about him since, and he was much more likely to be in Poland as a Irish supporter not a player! But the team is rebuilding so maybe he will appear in a squad soon.
Sorry to hear Luke being called a judas, a mercenary and a deserter by the Forest "supporters" for wanting to leave them.
Someone else not keeping friends is Tadhg Purcell who is on trial at Port Vale (as mentioned above). I met a Cork City supporter at the Supporters Direct AGM on Saturday. She was unhappy that Tadhg announced on twitter he was leaving after the club got him back to match fitness (they play from March to November).
The City manager Tommy Dunne said “..We did speak to him and make him an offer but he feels he has unfinished business over there, so there is not much more we can do about it. The door is not closed, but we are now looking at other options. I would like to thank Tadhg for his efforts in his time with the club and wish him the best of luck for the future.”
