Kevin Thornton is playing for Coventry United.

I hate how how much he's wasted his talent.

So has anyone actually found out how Clarke is allowed to play for AFC Wimbledon post transfer deadline, then suddenly played in the Conference this weekend for Eastleigh?

Thought that the Cox situation spelt out something like that isn't allowed?

Eastleigh don't play in the football league and don't abide by football league rules...

I think the transfer windows apply to the National League, bit don't apply to leagues below (i.e. National League North/South).

That's what I thought, hence the Cox situation - unless there's some kind of different rule for GK's?

Looks like the rules have actually been changed - if a League player had their contract cancelled today, they COULD play for a Conference Prem club on the weekend, not just Conference North/South as we actually thought.

What the rule entails regarding playing for more than 2 clubs in a season I don't know - therefore if you play for a Conf Prem club from today onwards after playing for a League club in early Sept, whether you could then move to a League club in January I haven't found out.
