Matt Crooks is off to the land of Mullets and pick up trucks. Banjos available for a fee.

Just been reading up on this. I think it is a great move for a change of lifestyle and a chance for new experiences in a short career. Will be on around $1m a year with a 3 year contract. He'll enjoy a good retirement whether he stays there or comes back.

Some posts in the former Cobblers exploits thread too, but a couple of ex-Cobblers return to the county in the last couple of days with first Scott Pollock and now Jonny Maxted both signing for Brackley Town ahead of yet another season for them in the National League North.

Will watch his progression closely, knowing that we played a big part in his career to date.

Has anyone heard how much the "signifant fee" was that took Kieron Bowie to Hibs?

Has anyone heard how much the "signifant fee" was that took Kieron Bowie to Hibs?

Having done my own bit of research, Fife Today have reported that Raith Rovers are due to be getting a sell on fee of upwards of £100 000 from the sale of Kieron Bowie from Fulham. The fee is believed to be around £600 000.

I don't reckon any of us would have put it that high. I would have said it was worth putting up £300 000, but no way would we have been able to in a bid for that sort of money.

Bowie worth more than Leonard? Strikers premium I suppose.

And to think he could have been facing Bristol Rovers yesterday, instead of Celtic today!

I'd have valued Bowie at a minimum 600k myself. Technically good with a fantastic work ethic. Think he'll be worth a lot more when he eventually moves to the championship.
