Just wondering.... if Brad has gone on a free...would we have any sell on clauses in there or am I clutching at straws?

Quite surprised at this if West Brom did want him. I would have thought that he would want to play at a club most likely to stay up?

I'm not. He wants to play. Therefore he's gone to Norwich where he's more likely to play every week. Gutted we've lost out on the sell on clause, especially with Morison moving for £2 million +

Via Twitter from our local journalists seems Ian Sampson is being linked with Kettering Town.

That sounds promising. Shame we couldn't have loaned him to the managers job their before he started here  Tongue

Seriously though, hope the man gets the job! And it might even mean we loan more of our younger players to Kettering in the future.

If he has to go to any of the local sides I'd rather it be the Ploppies than anyone else. Still won't be nice to see though.

The Ploppies don't like us. They have been known to sing anti-Cobblers songs at games and had a thread on their forum revelling in our misfortune when it looked like we were going to be relegated in March/April time, much like the one on the Diamonds forum.

http://www.poppynet.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10608

They do, however, love the P*sh...well, some of them anyway...

http://www.poppynet.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10792

Never understood why so many of our fans like Kettering. If they ever got up to our level, they'd be just as smug with it as R&D were.

I like Kettering Nut, they have a cute type of jealousy against us in much the same way a younger brother would have about his older more successful sibling.

They are a proper Club with a long history and i for one hope they get over their current difficulties....

There's a difference between loving Peterborough and respecting them. I respect the way they've gone about winning promotion this season, showing plenty of attacking football and being one of the most entertaining teams in England this season. Doesn't mean I love them.

And I'm sure Sammo couldn't give a flying f*** what Kettering think of us, if he manages Kettering, they'll be the only team he cares about.

Always thought he had a decent future when he was with us. Shame the events that have so far overshadowed his career.

even if their fans are jealous of us, Kettering (and Corby) deserve a bit of respect for at least being proper clubs, which is more than can be said for the Dimwits and McMongs.

Let's face it, due to our OBVIOUS MASSIVENESS any club from the county is going to be envious of us, let's not stoop to their level (which is and always will be non-league) and dislike them for it.  Wink
