I watched the Newcaste United Vs Arsenal game on the TV and I am sure via Match of the Day many of you will have seen Joey Barton's antics yesterday Huh?

If you didn't Barton was stood on quite viciously by Song and Pete Walton missed it which had Barton marching off the  pitch to remonstrate with the fourth official.

Later on Gervinho went down rather easily in the penalty area and Barton decided to pick him up again somewhat viciously and a melee started between many players with Barton getting a slap from Gervinho which had Barton falling to the ground somewhat dramatically as Taylor made his case that an elbow was used which got Gervinho sent off.

Barton is on Twitter and was pleading his case to many which made interesting reading Tongue

A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent personified in this case by a sex starved voyeur that is Tyro.

Joey Barton was the most interesting thing during the game yesturday! Fantastic player, and happy to see a player react like that to a blatant dive from an opposition player. Barton has done well to win me over, I like many, thought his career would be finished by now!

I can't stand Joey Barton, mainly due to his antics off the pitch rather than those on it; he's a decent player, just not a decent person.

Gervinho deserved to get sent off yesterday for that slap, but I don't think Barton conducted himself in the most dignified manner to see that he was.

Deserved a booking for the dive as well. Not the best debut on his behalf!

The fact that the Joey Barton thread is in general chat says it all about him really. He will only ever be remembered for his off the field and off the ball antics rather than anything on it. A complete waste of talent.

I thought the way Barton reacted was embarrassing. First of all, I'd hardly say Song "stamped" on him, it was more like he just trod on him. Not the thing to do and I am certain the FA will dish out a ban to Song for this.

As for the Gervinho incident, I think the video evidence proved that there was contact, albeit minimal, but I wonder how people would have reacted if that had been a Cobblers player? Barton should have been sent up for what he did in aggressively going at Gervinho. To give it large like that and then go down after a faint tap is really pathetic and I do think Barton is feeling rather contrite about it now.

Unfortunately Walton had his back to the incident and was running away from it. By the letter of the law, Gervinho was right to be given a red card but I do think it's ridiculous that he would get the same ban had he stuck one right on Barton's nose and properly floored him.

Moral of the story: if you are going to lose it, make sure you get your money's worth. No point getting a 3 game ban for a girly slap.

It has to be "B"
Another big smile on my face. I always get the big decisions right.

Couldn't be happier, you can all blame me if it turns pear shaped. Up next year without a doubt and no need of the play-offs.
