I think 4-0 was a very unfair result, it could have been 4-3 on another night. Although i dont think it was unfair that they scored 4 as they tore us apart.

The most worrying things for me were that Johnson looks worse as a RB than he does at CB. Davies was non existent on the right flank, he drifted inside again and again whether he had possession or not.

It also seems like alot of pressure is going to be piled onto young, risking him becoming a one trick pony as Jacobs seems to have. This lad could really be something special if he is nurtured in the right way. Something needs to be done with Jacobs and fast "Big time Charlie" comes to mind, he is getting way too big for his boots.

I am also starting to get worried about Robinson, more and more attacks break down with him. I honestly think he needs to be closure to Bayo looking to be played through. Some one with a more clinical edge like Harrad might be more suited to partner bayo (who I thought stood up well last night

One last word on L.Salihu, he is VERY RAW. He looked like bamby on ice at times last night, hopefully his debut got the better of him and it was just nerves.

Agree with most of that Disorda.

However in JJ's defence I would say that he looked unfit to me last night. There were times when it looked as if he was running through treacle.

I think he looked unfit as well, however he was still one of very few who actually put his foot in

I thought we did OK against a side containing some very good players and until a defensive lapse leaving Ebanks-Blake totally unmarked (was it Webster?)  it was an even game. The 2nd goal was a good free kick BUT it was taken at least 5 yards forward from where it should have been, it was taken where the player finished on the deck not where he was tripped.
As for Jamie Rekord ,his first match for us was very good ,at Chesterfield, but GJ finished up playing him out of position (left mudfield) and he looked like a little boy lost. That was not his fault , but the managers, and looking at him last night he seems to have baulked up a bit and will probably be a useful player .

Someone on one of the threads said that edgeymole is posting on here as dustoncobb who already said that he'd never post on this forum ever again.
He didn't strike me as a man to say one thing and then a couple of weeks later do the complete opposite!!!
Surely there MUST be some mistake.
Maybe someone can clear this up.

I think you may tempt anyone out of woodwork as you seem to be having a real downer on all things claret. So you should expect people may change their spots to answer your very strong views on matters various.

I'm here phil yes.
Yeah I'm down on many levels both off and on the field.
Yes this is my only username.
No I don't expect everyone to agree with all the posts I've put on here, that's why it's a discussion board not an agreement board.
No.when people disagree/won't agree with my points I won't have a childish tantrum, slag off the board and users, say I will never post again and then play childish games and post under a new name.
If you A stand up for what you beleive in and
B are prepared to accept not everyone has the same point of views despite us all supporting the same cause.
Then I don't see the need for various usernames.
While your here phil is there any news on the fans village as you seem to have your ear to the ground.
Thanks.

Firstly, I spent the last 30 minutes on Reckord watch...he really was THAT bad. It was the worth the money to watch him play...I simply cannot believe anybody thought he was decent. By far the worst player on the pitch!

From our perspective, I've got to say that I was quite disappointed. Our passing was decent, no complaints there and we could/should have scored a couple of goals. But the biggest problem for me was Wolves attacking us down the flanks and exposing our non existent wide men who seemed to completely refuse to track back. In the first half alone, JJ was exposed a good half a dozen times...where on earth Davies was I've no idea but it was really basic stuff.

Unlike most, I don't buy into this prem stuff. Firstly we were at home. Secondly Wolves had easily the worst player on the pitch (see above). Thirdly, IF we had done the basics right we would have stood a very very good chance. But we didn't. For instance the first goal was shocking, Sunday league stuff. The 2nd goal was as a result of about the only foul we conceded all night...because it was about the only tackle we put in!

Anyway, not going to get too down beat about it. I thought we played well on Saturday (despite losing/conceded 3) but last night we were exposed time and time again by a 10 Man team of strangers. Real stuff starts on Saturday...we've had 6 games 'to jell' so hopefully we can start to put together some positive results.

Bit harsh on Webster, the ball to find Ebanks was wonderful and he buried it well. I was a little bit disappointed that Walker didn't make one save of note. Maybe a bit harsh myself there but the Wolves keeper made three good saves and had Walker done the same things might have been different.

He made a good one on one save in the first half and I thought his handling on crosses (whether catching or punching) was first class. Very good goalkeeper in my opinion.

I think it's unfair to say it was a team of strangers out there last night. McCarthy stated in the interview before and after the game that the lads that played against us, have specifically been training together and playing indoor friendlies.

The Wolves team had premiership quality in.

De Vries - Swansea City #1 until Wolves came around.
Elokobi - Been playing week in week out for Wolves since they have been in the PL.
Craddock - Wealth of experience, still very good player.
Doherty - Admittedly I don't know.
Foley - ROI International.
Reckord - Maybe one for the future, certainly not now.
Kightly - Regarded as the best midfielder outside the PL before his injury woes.
Hammill - Barnsley's best player until Wolves snapped him up in January.
Milijas - Only just missed out on the Serbian World Cup squad last summer and played in the campaign leading up to it.
SEB - Scored goals for fun in the Championship barely 2 years ago.
Vokes - Was/is regarded as Wales next superstar up front.

My guess would be that 9 of those will play at some point this season in the PL.

Lewis Young sounded good again. Good to see Salihu get on, what was he like? Not expecting much considering he had 13 minutes to convince the haters that they shouldn't boo him next game.

I concur, the 1 on 1 had goal written all over it. He's made a few decent saves so far, certainly not the keeper barnet had it see

I think you'll find 13 minutes is more than enough for some people to make up their minds! Within a minute of coming on the pitch, in his first ever career game, Salihu picked up the ball and made a fairly good run at the defence, at the end of which played an (admittedly) poor pass which went straight to a Wolves player.

Did he get some applause for the run? Did he get some words of encouragement shouted out? Or did he get "You're s***!" shouted at him by one sage and a massive accompanying groan from loads of others...?

Yes, I have a programme and still not read it all! and I also see their squad is a tad bigger than ours!! I presume No 47 Ethan Ebanks-Landell is a step-brother of Sylvan?

I wonder if Wolves would let us have a couple of loanees, again?

I think it was a bad miss rather than a good save.
Not over criticising, I agree he is a good keeper and certainly better than Dunn, just saying on another day he might have pulled off a couple of saves.  I think he could have done better with their 2nd (from the free kick).

You've just reminded me......... a Wolves  supporting mate wants a programme. Did they sell out or could I still get one for him from somewhere?
