It's got to be Malachi Farquharsson. What a name! In all seriousness, either Thornton or Billy McKay, but if our new star striker starts firing on all cylinders come August I think he'll probably become the fans favourite. Cobblers fans love goalscorers. Bayo could barely move when he first joined us but got on the end of a few crosses in his first couple of months here and was an instant hit.

I voted Gilly, not because he is my favourite player, but to annoy Marvo and give him a chance to slag him off again. In fact, I think we all should.

On topic, my favourite's currently Seb Harris - his celebration was a high in a low end of season.

Gotta to be Seb for that celebration.
As he's not on the list, Thornton would always be the first name on my team sheet.

Thrnton got my vote - seems to have that extra that can inspire me to think he may just well score

Had to go for Thornton as Ali Slowe was somehow omitted from the list

Andy Holt, a gentleman off the pitch and loves the banter. On the pitch does his best for the club and ends up like a boxer when he comes off it.
Great player ..

It doesn't annoy me, it makes me feel superior. I know I'm right about Gilligan, we wont go up if he is a regular starter. However I would point out (yet again) that I don't dislike Gilligan, he is an average League 2 midfielder and if I wanted us to be an average League 2 side he would be perfect. Trouble is I don't, nearly every team we played against last season had a better midfielder than Gilligan, including Hereford who had a chap named Wedderburn, I wonder what happened to him.

He was a regular starter for a team that finished 9th in League 1, so there is no reason why he can't be a regular starter for any League 2 side. I voted Gilly, not because he is my favourite player, but to annoy Marvo and give him a chance to slag him off again. In fact, I think we all should.
Your prediction came true!

No, it didn't annoy me and No, I haven't slagged him off, I've just given an opinion on his ability. Why is it so hard for you clowns to understand that not everybody shares the same opinion? PS: There is no reason why he can't be a regular starter for any League 2 side, just not one that has any ambition of getting promotion.

Wedderburn has played 12 league games in his career, all of which were for poor League 2 teams. How that makes him better than a player who has played nearly 150 league games, many of which for a decent League 1 side is beyond me. Wedderburn may be fantastic but he hasn't proved anything yet, he certainly hasn't proved he is better than Gilly.

All I know for sure is that in the one game they came up against each other, Wedderburn was the superior player. That's all I have to go on.

Thornton gets my vote as when he has the ball you don't know what he is gonna do next. Take players on, shoot, pass, fall over, pass out etc. Mckay was a close 2nd for me as rate him very highly and hoping we can get a good full season from him this year.
