well he isnt out of contract, like thornton, and he has no sell on value, like harrad as he has had a long term injury and is still unfit and unproven.

if he does well at darlo, he will have the sell on value, and he wont play for us.

Agreed, if he does well on loan, Darlo will probably increase the loan and then sign him at Christmas. if he does badly he will probably disappear not to be seen again like Wedderburn and released in the summer. It's not about being a negative Nancy or a moaner it's clear now that with very few exceptions if you weren't a GJ buy you pretty much stand no chance. Take Tuesday we had a goalkeeper, 2 strikers, 2 full backs and 0 midfielders on the bench. Corker clearly isn't good enough and from what I've seen far far worse than Wedderburn yet Corker makes the bench.

Naive? Maybe......

I happen to think GJ likes the attitude Tadgh has shown and will give him more of a chance than Thornton and Harrad.

We'll see...

I agree. . . I may be naive but I like to think positive thoughts! Would like to think that Tadgh will play 8 games, score 3 or 4 goals, and come back to us and show us what we know he can do.

I'd also like to see Jackson and Bayo hit it off, and we keep hold of Jackson for a bit longer, but that's probably WAY too naive and positive

No both GJ signings so I'm sure they will be given every chance.

I think it's a little naive to believe certain players have left the club purely because they're not gj's signings.

Worst case scenario is we sign a player from Darlington, plays a game, gets injured, nurture him back to fitness and then give him back to Darlington. What a waste!!

I saw him in Morrisons yesterday in town, hopefully he can get back to full fitness, score some goals and come back a good striker, we need one along side Bayo!

I agree with what you say, but he did seem not interested in Tozer, but after seeing his attitude he changed his mind, could he do the same again if Purcell comes good again?

My issue is why have we sent Purcell out on loan to get fitness? Why not get fitness in our own squad, playing for us, while we pay him? He's brought in Marlon Jackson as cover is not a prolific striker and who has not played a competitive game for 10 months yet goes straight into the side ... unless it's a cash thing I just don't get it? There must be something else to it, which tells me maybe he ain't coming back - a real shame.

Jackson came off after 72 minutes because he was knackered, not match fit.  Grin

He played 72 mins saturday and then 55 mins last night, just to clarify the situation. Sort of got an assist last night as he was brought down for a darlo penalty which was scored by someone else.

Darlo fans say he looks fat and overweight and can only last 10 minutes. No real shock I suppose.

Shuts those people up saying GJ should have played him though.
