Cricket Side...your posts are tiresome. Perhaps like mine were in the under performing periods during Calderwood's era! Some on here will know where Im coming from with that comment!
We are struggling, we really are. But look at his record. Try and stick with him; if everybody was to do that we would come good Im sure.
But lets face it; the constant negativity really isn't helping anybody, other than our rivals. What exactly are you trying to achieve from it? A reaction of sorts? If so; then you are not a Cobblers fan. Its crazy. Give it a rest mate and don't frequent this board for a little while unless you change your tune. We know he's doing s***, no one can argue with that. But an awful lot of investment has been put into this appointment and also to support this appointment. Give a moments thought to our chairman, who on request appointed somebody we all thought was way out of our territory. With full support we can still get through this sticky period...it hurts I know, but you starting thread after thread of bollox really isn't creating anything positive.

He's entitled to his opinion....
Yes; but an opinion is one thing, infiltrating the board with constant repetitive digs is another thing. He's literally, single handedly, dominating this board/forum. And dare I say it, putting off a lot of people from getting involved. Theres very little balance at the moment, and the snide nature of his posts is what has finally caused me to react. You know my history Hamster; I rarely get into spouts on here, other than with your good self many moons ago! I don't take the dam thing seriously other than for a short while after a s***ty defeat when I find it good to rid myself of some negative energy. He's as annoying negative as Lanky is pro-Johnson. Then again Im sure both are top geezers. Im off to sink a few more beers, fcuk the lot of you!

He enjoy's nothing more than kicking the club when it's down. I would have hoped that the moderators would have used some editorial nouse and told cricketside to calm down his rabble rousing but no they like their board filled with hysterical threads started by people with no perspective...

You are being such precious tarts, Cricketside has always thrived on getting a reaction, he's a wind up merchant, get over it. Even the wind up merchants are entitled to an opinion.

Exactly. Can you imagine on the Football League Shoe tonight: Manish: "Northampton Town are performing below expectations this season what do you put that down to, Steve?" Steve "Well, they have this maverick on an unofficial message board causing disruptions" Manish "Blimey, no wonder they can't get a win, let's hope they sort that out sharpish"

So I might get a man sacked? Blimey, he's doing his best for himself.
I'm helping our rivals? Blimey, Macclesfield must have taken me at my word.
I enjoy nothing more than kicking the club when it's down. Blimey, I'm really enjoying things this season.
Man up, chaps. Really.

I rarely agree with you Cricketside, but you are as entitled as anyone else on here to express an opinion. As long as no-one insults others on here, which a few too many are guilty of, then criticise away at GJ. Just as Marvo, I and others criticised "where are they now" Gilligan and Rodgers. It's obvious that perhaps even a majority of the fans didn't want Sammo to be sacked and some hold a grudge accordingly and will never accept GJ. But if anyone believes that a single poster on a minority messageboard can somehow subvert or "infiltrate" then they have truly lost all sense of proportion. For the same reason, Shoemaker and Manwork might have expressed their views about the Chairman more eloquently, but for them to be called up to the headmaster's office rather smacks of a lack of balance by those concerned at the time; I happen to think there has been one common factor in the club's demise over the last ten years and don't anticipate that to be resolved any time soon. As with Sammo, who I said should have been judged at the end of the season, so GJ should be afforded the same opportunity. I fear deeply that within the next couple of months we could see some of the lowest ever league crowds at Sixfields (Tuesday night at Hereford has that record marked all over it), but it's for GJ to prove people wrong.

I prefer to think he just wants our club to do better. Even Karl, Tel and the Major will tell you this is just a poxy messageboard for people who should probably know better, nothing more possibly less. As the former duckboarder said "Man up"

So you are having a pop at someone for being negative, yet on another thread you post: "No doubt the knives will be out if we don't beat Dagenham. And to be fair, who can blame anybody who happens to chant Johnson out if that happens." Make your fcuking mind up !! Personally I haven't posted on here for a short while as my views won't be changing from game to game and I can't be arsed to keep banging on about the same obvious faults of our squad. Fair play to Cricketside though he's been pretty relentless recently with his postings, which are currently completely justified.

Grow up you pr@t. Nobody could do a better job of that than GJ at the moment..
Great moderation that. Allow cricketside to start as many threads as he wants all hysterically slamming a bloke working under difficult circumstances and then abuse someone who tries to argue back. If you kept a lid on cricketside's knee jerk reactions and merged his anti-johnson threads (as you so fanatically do with threads on other subjects) this argument wouldn't be happening.

To be fair we're all feeling down (again) and a bit sensitive after another defeat.
However the fact is its hard to defend the indefensible. All competitions GJ has had 24 matches and won 5, his points per game is 0.96. He's been given the budget, he's got his own players and at the moment doesn't appear to be capable of changing things.
Yes he has a great record, well not here he hasn't and his record here is all that counts in getting us points, we don't get any brownie bonus points for his previous exploits. DC will not pull the trigger yet, he has invested too much money this season to panic just yet but the clock is ticking.
