Dormund should be champions next weekend, possibly before they even kick a ball.

I'm looking forward to the celebrations that will follow.

We're going to do a tour of stadium on Friday as there are no other games on nearby.

And BMG look a safe bet for that 4th place.

Didn't manage to get tickets but enjoyed the celebrations long into the night. I didn't realise the rivalry between the two teams was so great. We were outside the ground on matchday and there was a real tension in the air, loads of police and a few scuffles kicking off between the sets of fans.

We did a stadium tour on the Friday but as it was in German & very busy we did our own tour of the stadium and were free to walk around all areas.

Confirmed, Gunners have signed Podolski from Koln.  Wink

Following their outstanding performance and fourth place last season, Gladbach are now in the Champions League play-off round against Dynamo Kiev.  Winners into the group stages, losers into the Europa League.
Lost three of the main players from last season; Marco reus, Dante and Roman Neustadter but probably not going to achieve the same as last but they will give it a go.

I was at Carrow Road on Saturday to see the Fohlens beat Norwich, including Brad Johnson, quite comfortably and the 0-2 scoreline flattered Norwich.   Wink
Also watched the Gunners stuff Koln on Sunday which was quite pleasing from a Borussia point of view. Could/should have been double figures. Grin

Mixed start to the season:
Win away to Aachen 0-2 in the DFB Cup sees an away derby at Fortuna Dusseldorf in Rnd 2
Champions league play-off against Dynamo Kiev, 1st leg at home losing 1-3 despite being one up, 2nd leg win 1-2 but couldn't get the third to force extra time and pens
Now entered into the in Europa league group stages which gives a better propect of winning against:  the Cypriots Limassol, the Turks Fenerbache and the French Marseille which should hopefully see progression!
Bundesliga Matchday 1 against the franchise equivalent Hoffenheim, whose bubble appears to have burst, beat them at Borussia Park 2-1 in front of over 50,000
Bundesliga Matchday 2 against Dusseldorf local rivals away, despite having the majority of the play couldn't score so only 0-0
International break now before welcoming Nurnberg at home on the 15th Sep

The constant midweek fixtures will stretch the squad but that is the price of being in Europe!

Remember Dean Thomas (now manager at Hinckley Utd) played for Aachen back in around 84 time..they played Borussia M'Gladbach then in the cup...with Gladbach fans setting light to behind the goal with flares or something!  Cheesy

Good memory:
http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/dean-thomas/leistungsdaten-vereindetail/spieler_107461_8.html

He played 47 times for Aachen with 6 goals before transferring to Fortuna Dusseldorf:

http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/dean-thomas/leistungsdaten-vereindetail/spieler_107461_38.html

He played for Fortuna Dusseldorf 87 times with 9 goals and 1 red card between 85-88.
He played against Gladbach a number of times....  Wink

Nice OG from Kramer, its the only way BvB are going to score a league goal this season.

I know, I was watching it, couldn't believe what he had done...
Still, still third and within touching distance of second. Rather be there than where BvB are...

It's a shame as I have grown accustomed to visiting various European cities watching BvB CL away games. I think the only way they will qualify for the CL is by winning it (it worked for Liverpool and Chelsea)

Especially when Marco Reus and Mats Hummels both join Arsenal....
