It's coming out soon, anyone played the demo yet? Anyone going to get the game when it's released?

I got an update for '11 a couple of days after the deadline so I'm up to date on so I'm sticking with that for this year. Speaking of it, just got us relegated from the championship with 3 wins and 3 draws all season. Board still love me though because I won league 1 at the first attempt.

Had a brief play in the office when killing time, the highlights have got better, Akinfenwa looks massive, have signed Crowe, Baldock, Jackson and Blackwood, lots of in-depth figures to drown in but I think it's a definite improvement, off to Tesco at Midnight for a copy although having to go via Steam to actually get it working is very slow and painful and I would imagine getting logged on over the weekend isn't going to be easy as every manager and his rooney will what to be downloading it.

I've got it through steam and there was an option to pre-download it before the release so I think a lot of people probably did that.

Wouldn't worry about Steam not coping, its busy all the time anyway. Can't wait for end of work, so I can start a career as a footballing nobody and jumping to a bigger fish every time one comes available with Pulis style percentage football. Forget short passing Arsenal football, it's time to grind out draws and lump it to the big men. Far more satisfying. Atkins will be proud.

A welly said Steam will probably be able to handle it. Wonder what multiplayer's like.

I loved FM07 and played it to death, up to season 2070 or something equally stupid. I won everything going with the Cobblers including 10 or 12 Champions Leagues. I even got a message saying I had surpassed Fergie and become the most successful club manager in history! Then it really pissed me off by randomly deciding the club had been sold and the new owners wanted their own manager bought in. As soon as I lost a couple of games in a row I was out. I was absolutely gutted!
I kind of went off it at that point and didn't buy any of the later versions until last year's one. I was really excited to get it but then just couldn't get interested somehow. It seemed to have got a bit too fiddly for me.

Spent three hours trying to buy the game earlier, everywhere in Bedford was sold out and ended up having to creep into Milton Keynes under the cover of darkness and can I connect to Steam tonight? Can I balls

Anyone know how to set up a network game through the interwebs? I've got the Hamachi bollocks but can't actaully get connected in fm.
It's a bit more complicated than fm 07 now, but I just get my assistant to deal with everything because I'm essentially lazy.

Last one I played properly was FM08, got Basingstoke up to League 1. The 09 one was the first Steam one, found it too slow and clunky so sold it on eBay a week later.

Don't bother with Steam, been a massive pain in the arse each time whether its taking ages to install, pissing about with my accounts or telling me the code on the back of the book's already been used, just a normal installation process works better for me

The problem I had in 09 was my laptop was unable to run it so I had to use Steam.

I finished 8th. Missed the play offs by 3 points and Hereford eventually went up. DC now wants me to get promotion in 2012/13
