Lets all cast our mind back to Ian Sampsons reign! we were struggling and down in the dumps, everyone was calling for him to get a chance etc etc etc and now we actually have a proven manager so PLEASE give him a chance, we are no where near as bad position as we were this time last season. 2 wins on the bounce and your love GJ again...

Aha - a sycophant in our midst. Take care those claret goggles don't get in the way of seeing the real situation! We'd all like him to do well but at the moment he's clueless.

After 15 games last year we had 16 points, we now have 15 after 14 games.... I'd say our position at the moment is quite similar to last year. Either way, they both weren't good enough....

When do you take over insider? You've been quiet on that lately, but you'll really be an insider then.

I've got more sense than to plough £7m into a failing business with £950k of debt. Which is more than can be said of some others...

So the best course is to pack it all in? Strangely, I might agree with you on that. Put us all out of our misery, eh?

As a football fan i will admit that I an "thickle" I make stupid decisions to go and watch a team that frustrates the hell out of me but live in hope that it will all come good in the end. I will accidently groan during a game when someone mis places a pass but then shout their name with joy when they score. I disagree with other people on their views of the games but don't feel the need to tell them. (unless it's my kids ) but then will agree with somethings they say. Is that not what being a fan of a lower league team is all about?

With Sammo, the lack of experience means that you can give him a chance because all young managers make mistakes. GJ has been around the block and should know better than making these crap signings and pathetic tactics. Also, there was never any doubt that Sammo loved this club and would do everything he could to help it. GJ has a poor attitude and I'm not really sure whether he actually cares or not.

Of course he cares just because he hasn't been at the club for years doesn't mean he doesn't give a crap

CS - you have made the cardinal sin of responding to a "jibe" you should ignore and move on - which you have already espoused.

The difference is Sammo didn't get the same chance as GJ, what with enlarged budgets etc. Also GJ has a proven track records at this level so shouldn't this mean more of an instant return with progression on the pitch, after all this is exactly what we've paid the extra money for? Having said that it's not healthy to keep changing players, managers, staff etc and we need some stability. Unless we hit the bottom two, i think we should stick with GJ until at least the end of this season.

I can understand Johnson's logic. You have a large turnover of players so it keeps people on their toes. Noone is irreplacable. however you might thow the baby out with the bath water with this approach

The problem GJ is got is, as cricketside put it a few weeks back, it's obvious that his emperor's clothes didn't fecking exist.
He got away with being a terrible manager last season and nearly relegating us by being able to say the shower of sh*te on display each week was someone else's squad, even though he brought in a good few players straight away to completely destablise a team that was treading water so we almost sank without trace.
But he can't get away with it this year because bar Jacobs, Johnson and Tozer at an absolute push (and he re-signed him and put him in centre mid) it's his squad, his players, his fault.
Forget his previous record, what he has done here is nothing short of appalling. I really hope he turns it around but it doesn't look too clever right now and we seem to be lurching from one disaster to the next. If we do string 2 wins together it'll be more luck than judgement
