I read a lot of stuff on here crticising the Cardozas and everyone is entitled to their opinion, me for one would like to thank DC and clan for supporting this club through thick and thin over the years. I have alswatys thought and been excited by the quality of players we have signed since you took over, yes a lot of them have proved to be donkeys but at the start of each season I have looked at the squad and thought we looked to have a decent squad and that to a degree the manager has had appropriate funds to work with (within reason). You have listened to us fans stuck by the manager where you could and suported the managers as best you can (given the money the club turns over). G.Johnson was a massive signing and I like many was excited when he signed on the dotted line, it's a shame the way it has gone but hey once again you have shown the club's success and the fans views are important and credit to you for acting, it takes a big man to accept that he's made the wrong appointment.
Some people have doubted your commitment to the club and looked towards the development funds as your raison d'etre but by sticking with it so long you have proved to me that your either in it with us or barking mad, being a Cobblers fan requires a lot of the former and some of the latter.
My biggest thanks is the fact we have been able to share the journey so far and that for once in my time as a Cobblers fan I haven't had to worry about the club going bust, I haven't had to see buckets on the gate. I would have liked to see you stick with Broadhurst for a while when you first came in and give him the support that you have given others but I guess Ellis scuppered that, maybe not.
So all in all apart from matters on the field that have been beyond your immediate control thanks for giving me a team to support :-) The next few months are going to be tough for everyone, especially if embroiled in a relegation battle but I am sure you will get the right man (please get someone who really wants the Cobblers job and not just someone who wants a salary and believes their own hype).
Someone who can get these players fighting for the cause then the fans will return and then let the good times roll !

Well I for one agree - anyone watching DC during a game knows he cares and is actually a fan.
I share his thoughts on simply not understanding why Gary Johnson was so dreadful - hindsight is a great thing, and yes there were some signs at other clubs but the track record overall looked good.
It was 100% certain (as anyone connected with the club would confirm) Gary Johnson was not going to turn anything round and I think DC's timing was entirely appropriate. Maybe some misjudgement but I think he has been very very unlucky with his appointments and I think he deserves some luck on the next one - he certainly should not rush but also should not keep the current caretaker arrangement for any length of time (inexperience & the inability to to do a great deal without GJ's say so).
So I also agree - thanks and really hope for some better luck going forward - you (and we) deserve it.

The sad thing is that according to GJ he was given the biggest ever wages for a manager at the club by DC

Sadder still that it was probably less than he'd earned for many years so he probably wasn't that motivated by it. Hopefully, he'll have the chance to realise what he's missing over the coming months and years.
