I am more excited about this Saturday than I was at the start of the season. You quite often get that honeymoon period with a new manager (or caretaker) and I feel we have a lot of players that will want to prove themselves worthy of a contract. I got the impression from the Chrons article about players not wanting to move that they were just waiting for GJ to go instead. I just hope Lee and Holt give all (well most) players a fighting chance.
Bring on the weekend!

With both Holt and Lee being 'solid' defenders in their day, maybe they can sort the defence out before Saturday! I wish.

We all need to relax and just go along on Saturday to support whoever is running the side and whoever is selected to play in it. I know that sounds a bit obvious but in the end the entire Sixfields outfit needs time to breathe, express itself, and see what comes out of the woodwork. Too much tension could kill any recovery. I'm looking forward to seeing what we do.

I've stuck money on a rare win for us - based on the fact that Shrewsbury have quite a bad record away at fortress Sixfields. Before last season they had lost 4 on the bounce.
Surely, in any walk of life, in any job, you'd try just a bit harder if you thought your new boss could be watching you.
