I was told that all but 5 minutes was taken up with discussion of Alistair Slowe.

"Andrew Ellis was very much against what was going on. The Cardozas were strictly about business and development so that was him out the door. Andrew Ellis was only ever a football man."
*****And he appointed Terry Fenwick*****

I was there, Steve Riches wasnt, probably sunning himself on some spanish beach.
The playing budget is all spent and the contingency loan budget has already taken a hit because of Dunns injury which is likely to rule him out for another couple of weeks. We were interested in getting Steele in but he is need for Middlesboroughs squad this weekend as their first choice keeper is suspended. Sammo would still like to get a big striker in on loan. Bayo was offered two contracts and didnt give an answer so it was thought best to let him go with the added advantage of freeing up money for the budget. Holts signing resulted in movememnt between both parties Gilbert didnt return his contract and called in sick on the second day of training Hall was always going to commit himself to the Cobblers Sammo thought we were lucky to get Wedderburn Thorntonb will play wide because it is considered he is better going forward rather than defending Johnson another lucky one for Sammo with the money freeded up by McCready coming at the right time. Apparently he trains like he plays Sammo very pleased with Seb, sees him as a central defender Slowe not yet reached the standard required but staff working very hard with him, he has been hampered by a pre season niggle. Hinton and Guinan although both on the transfer list are model pros. Hinton injured but Guinan fitter than at any time last season and if he starts to produce sammo would consider taking him off list.

I was there too and as it was my first time at one of them I must say I really enjoyed the evening, and a good chance to find out first hand the answer to many questions. I will go again, and urge more supporters to attend and ask the questions they they seem to ask here.
