Needs to take a fair chunk of responsibility for today, always a massive bonus playing 70 mins minus 1

A spell in the stands might be exactly what he needs to refocus his mind and get him playing in such a way that doesn't make him look like a right knobber.

Just to put it out there, during Crackers interview he said that Boothroyd, Burton's managers and Burton's players all thought the sending off decision was wrong. Let's watch a replay of it tonight first before saying anything stupid.

Before you slaughter him, let's watch the replay. I thought it was a committed challenge by both players and just a clash of heads - didn't see an elbow, but others around me did. If JJ actually managed to hit him with his elbow and his head (physical possibility?), then fair dos. Understandable, though, if JJ was still angry after that early challenge for which their captain got a yellow.

A match defining moment imo. IF it was intentional he should be fined 2 weeks wages to cover his 3 match ban.
Mixed reactions in the North stand as to its fairness.

I'd rather have a committed Johnno than some of the pansies that currently grace the pitch. Cough Davies

I like JJ, he's one of our better players and the type of bloke you'd want at your side in the trenches but he let us down badly today. If the replay shows differently I'll gladly eat humble pie on this but from where I was sitting, he lead with the elbow and you just can't do that. I said "He's off" before he'd even made contact so I wasn't surprised to see the ref whip the red card out so quickly.

We might have done slightly better if the likes of Jason Crowe, Arron Davies and Lewis Young put a tackle in from time to time.

I did exactly the same. He didn't swing an elbow, in fairness he probably didn't even mean for his elbow to hit the guy (he was watching the ball). However, he ran at their player with his elbow out in front of him at head height, pure stupidity. I'd be very surprised if it looks better on the replay, angle depending. Had we won, or even just had a little less bad luck today, I think AB may have kept his mouth shut when asked about the red.

Sammo calls a spade, a spade - if even the club legend is saying it was a certain red card then that tells you all you need to know.

No, it doesn't - he's seen it just once, like the rest of us.

I thought it was just a clash of heads and their guy was unlucky in that he just got there first - but if others are correct and say that he led with the elbow then fair enough - he deserved to go. A bit stupid if that was the case as there were definitely points to be had today.

Definitely lead with his forearm, would have to see it again to see if he made contact but I am certain that his arm was up and you just can't do that in this day and age. Stupid thing to do.

It's interesting to see so many viewpoints. From where I was sitting in the North stand, it just looked like a clash of heads.

I was in the North Stand too, and my immediate thought was straight red. My friend sat next to me didn't see anything. Ref did seem to have a good view though.
