100% led with the elbow and 100% red card from my view in west stand.

Excellent argument - upper case and an exclamation mark - you can't be wrong.

Claret tinted spectacles spring to mind... I get it though, this is your coping mechanism, meanwhile in the real world...

Knew it was going to be red the moment the whistle went, doesn't matter if he made contact or not he led with his elbow and therefore gave the referee a decision to make.

I agree that the other midfielders especially Davies need to be more committed but not to the extent that your crass stupidity leaves your team with 10 men with 70 mins to play.

For what it's worth, it wasn't a red card from my vantage point in the East. He never took his eye off the ball. But other people appear to have seen it differently so let's wait for the replay. I'll wait until I crucify the lad though.

His arm was out andif he'd have been given a yellow fair do's but to red card him was harsh. Atleast the officials were consistant throughout the game...... The Burton 2 nd goal came from an offside which the lino missed in the build up and the pen looked to me like there bloke missed with an overhead kick and got Langmeads shoulder instead of the ball  Embarrassed

He's better than the rest of the s***e we've got at the back. Getting rid of our better players because they're 'not good enough for us' is how we came to be in this state in the first place.

Exactly my point. Everyone needs to take a lesson out of his book. We could do with 4 good solid defenders that get sent off after 20 minutes.... liability.

What a game changer...with decision making of that calibre...strip him of the captaincy at once.

We would have got something out of that game but for his stupidity...shame we lasted till 87 minutes & couldn't just hang on.

First off, it was definitely a red card. He lead with his elbow and you're never going to get away with that.
However, I do not agree with everyone slating him as much as they are. He is a young lad, and it's a lot of pressure being captain whilst quickly learning a new(ish) role under a new boss. Young players make mistakes. It happens.
Besides, Holt was more to blame than anyone else as he had a poor game and was responsible for at least 1 (if not 2) of the goals because he didn't close down the winger at all.

Christ, you lot ain't half drama queens.

It was a nasty challenge that deserved a red, but ffs give the lad a break. He's been one of a very few in the last 12 months that has always put a shift in. It may well have cost us the game but it's hardly a regular occurrence that is continually losing us matches.
