So, it'll be Andy Holt as player manager that'll be leading the club in the Conference next season when Johnson walks. Hardly inspiring !

Good luck, Holty!  If he can manage to instil a fraction of his work ethic and commitment to the cause into the rest of them then I'll be very happy.

How will it when he's PLAYER coach??

Because he is also a COACH. There is probably a budget for the staff and a budget for the players, so now part of Andy Holt's wages are probably coming out of the staff budget, therefore reducing how much of his wage comes out of the player budget.

Instead of employing 2 people to do 2 seperate jobs we're employing one to do both, chances are that is saving money.

But nobody has left the playing squad, so how is this lessening our player budget?? If anything it's cost us money - Holty's had a promotion, and with any other workplace promotion I would imagine this means more money??

Money well spent though, don't get me wrong Smiley

Very pleased with this decision. Good lad is Holty. Always liked him, never been a knocker as many on here have been over time. 100% committed every minute every game.

I believe that this could really help team spirit during the run in as well. We need him in the team end of. And if Rodgers had his best game yet as some have said, lets drop him in on the left and move Jacobs into the middle in place of Walker.

I will be attending next Fridays home game now; on reflection I said to the Mrs last Sunday if the bastards don't lose at Wycombe I will go. And they didn't so I will be there. So thats fcuked up my Easter holidays.

So much for 'done for the season' 'we're going down' and 'they've pakced it in and so have i'

Shows how fickle some fans can be

Yes mate you are right. So bloody fickle that I have had a season ticket every season since 1988. Im still the only twat who's proposed to his Mrs on the pitch before a game at Sixfields, featured in the chron, et and 'Chat' magasine. We lost 3-0. Was at the Exeter's Room. Was on the Trust committee back in the very early days and has since helped out in an unofficial capacity with stuff through my business. Will you be able to say the same thing in 20 years time? Maybe yes, maybe no. But statistically it will be a no.

Im not fickle mate, just pee'ed off with watching the most inept bunch of tossers to ever have worn the shirt during my time supporting them. They may well have played alright tonight but they also did versus Torquay the other week. I just cannot wait to see the back of this season.

By the way, my home stag do coincides with our last home game. We better be safe by then I tell ya. The ***** better not ruin that as well!  Grin

Or alternatively you came on here last week crying after a bad result proclaiming that the players had jacked it in and you were through with them. You even said today or yesterday that we're dead certs to go down it's not even worth bothering. One good result later and you've suddenly kissed and made up.

Crosby was in the stand. GJ wanted to fine tune some tactical and formational things, and it's much easier to see from a higher vantage point than from pitchside, apparently, so he sent Crosby up there with a notepad.

To be fair, I think we can all do and say things at the height of frustration, and this season has certainly been bloody frustrating. I too will be glad to see the back of this current debacle. Although i'm looking forward to next seasons promotion campaign
