If not McLeod an no offence to the our own front line but I think we need one more face & it just has to be a journeyman who knows how to score goals at this level.

Do you know what "Nemesis" means?
A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent personified in this case by a sex starved voyeur that is Tyro.

No idea about McLeod - he's been both brilliant and rubbish at this level in different seasons. There must be something else going on with him that those 'in the know' within the game will be aware of, or he wouldn't be unemployed at the moment.

Yep I mentioned Mcleod before, his wage demands must be pretty high but even unfit he is going to be far far better than the out to pasture Guinan... We must get a striker of some quality to get the best out of our players Guinan is not that man.

I just spoke about him with a work colleague who's a Charlton supporter and reckons he's one of the worst signings they ever made. Only started a few games and got sent back early from loan spells at Millwall and Peterborough for 'bad attitude'. Guess that's the problem.

Yeah, he's an absolute dick, so what? I approve of this signing if only so that we can sing 'Hey! You! Get off of McLeod' any time the opposition foul him.

Yep could be a problem, looks like all those goals for the franchise went to his ego.

And how are we going to pay for him, a bucket collection, since the wages budget is totally accounted for.
Not that I would want him anyhow

A player with a bad attitude can completely destabilise a dressing room, which is why the likes of Mcleod and Leon Knight (likewise a player with a good record in the lower leagues) can't get a club at the moment.
If we did sign someone like Mcleod, I'd like it to be on a trial/ appearance-related-pay basis. I doubt Sammo would risk the tiny sliver of budget we have left on someone that unreliable, though.
I've found Sammo's decisions regarding the forward line pretty baffling tbh. Has Sammo decided that Purcell is incapable of playing the target man role, which is why he's been playing Guinan there whilst searching desperately for a loanee? If that's true then Purcell is effectively competing with Mckay and Herbert for the role of second striker, which begs the question: why the hell was he signed in the first place?
It seemed to me that the Brighton game was the perfect opportunity to try Purcell with Mckay together in a competetive game but Sammo went for Guinan again despite the latter's poor performance against Torquay. I'm not actually anti-Guinan - I think he has good qualities, and I have no problem with him staying as a squad player, I just don't want him starting ahead of a player who was signed -after beating off competition from other clubs I might add- to provide a replacement or at least a credible alternative to Bayo.

I agree that it was a pefect opportunity to try a McKay and Purcell partnership but to be fair to Guinan I thought he justified starting ahead of Purcell as he worked his socks off

Maybe Sammo didn't like what he saw in pre-season? He always played McKay and Purcell together, followed by Guinan and Herbert together. And with Guinan scoring more than Purcell pre-season, opted for his to start along side McKay.
I agree though that Brighton was a good chance to try new striking options out in a competitive game.

Good job we didn't though considering the result!
I'm hoping Purcell will start with McKay on Saturday

Just remember it only needs one bad apple to ruin a box of them, judging by the stories about him, I'm glad we cant have him, not that I think Sampson would risk destroying the team spirit anyway.

As already mentioned wouldnt touch the likes of Mcleod or Knight due to them causing unrest within the squad.
As for Purcell,im of the opinion that he looks far from match fit and was knackered after 20mins in the games ive seen hence why he`s not starting till his fitness improves.
Could be wrong, just an opinion from observation.
