Hopefully we'll be a different prospect by the time he next match rolls around. Today we would have had Nat Brown suspended, Ben Tomlinson, Dwayne Mattis, George Donnelly, Lewis Chalmers, Sam Wedgbury, possibly Colin Daniel and definitely Ross Draper injured.
That's half the team that beat you 3-1. Draper will still be out, but Mattis is arguably his best replacement. Other than Draper, all of them could be back in the next fortnight.
This is probably why you were so desperate to get the game on!
i was worried beforehand, as we always seem to do poorly against "injury ravaged" teams so hopefully with a couple of additions before the re-arranged game, and together with a string of good results we will also be a different proposition to the team that would have faced you yesterday

It looks like the young whipper snapper from WBA will soon be gone... Langmead can play CF can't he?

Not facetious at all, the quicker Wigan return to the Conference where they belong the better. Stranger thing have happened in football.
As soon as Dave Whelan stops funding them they will slide and slide and slide. Wigan is a rugby town and IMO Northampton is a rugby town as well. Thankfully NTFC only really have one division to slide down to, whereas Wigan have 2 or 3.

This rugby town arguement is a little flawed. The Saints have a much wider catchment area. I wonder what % of their fans come from outside of Northamptonshire compared to us?? I have seen a number of Saints Badged up cars around Hertfordshire.

And Luton, of which I'm one. To be honest with more than 85% of Saints games televised, I can second guess a Saints lineup easier than that of a Cobblers starting 11, Come and join me down the Gardens next year. LV cup winners and aviva prem champions 2012

Yes I live on The Herts / Essex border and you even see some people in Saints shirts.....in fact, travelling up on the train from Euston it is interesting to see the pick ups if there is an Egg Chasers game on & talking to them. Sadly , only too few Claret shirts on view. But this Rugby Town boll0cks has always annoyed me.....just see our gates if we were a force in the Premiership with shed loads of Internationals on view. We can dream.

Saints fans have pointed out recently that they would be better off moving to Sixfields as it would allow them to develop the ground to the desired 20,000 capacity, to allow them to compete with rugby's elite best they can hope for is 15,500 max at the gardens.

An Editor of the Chron once told me that the biggest factor in selling the paper eas the Cobblers doing well much more important than Saints or Cricket!

Left, left, left...steady..right a little. OK, back on thread target. Macc being off was a minor irritant..if the Daggers game is off, It'll be a fooking disaster quite frankly! With maybe a 1000 Cobblers ready to descend on the Capital, and the ensuing jolly, will be more than peeved for all concerned.

Looking at the forecast I think it very unlikely many fixtures will survive.
