That will go down as one of those nights, when you're really glad you never give up on the Cobblers...

I loved it tonight, even while we were getting battered in the second half it was entertaining! I really can't remember the last time I enjoyed a game at Sixfields so much.

I came away thinking have I just watched a battle or a football match. Fortunately we dug deep when under the kosh but took our opportunity well when dealing the killer blow.

If we'd lost it would have been so frustrating as we seemed to lack pace and energy compared to them. We sat back far too much and lost the battle in midfield on almost every occasion. I disagree with another poster who said they were poor in the first half. Apart from our onslaught in the first 15 we were pretty much on the back foot but part of that is our style and rely on breaking down the flanks. They're a good side but we helped to make them look good......having said that who cares? Two wonder goals and USA were enough to drag us over the line. We've played better and lost. Nothing beats the silence of a gobby packed away end (and side), LOVE IT! Brilliant night.

One of those games where you just feel on top of the world coming home from it. Played great in front of a crowd too!

Yep, it was certainly one of those nights Nige. Gutted for Auntie Paul who couldn't make it.

Completely agree Tel. Nights like tonight are exactly what supporting a club like ours is all about. If you've stuck with it and put up with all the sh@t and agonising lows of the last year or 30, then you will have enjoyed it, loved it, felt it, all the more. You get out what you put in.
Absolutely f@cking buzzing! Brilliant game and a brilliant night.
Thanks ADB and the boys for several recent very good days and nights.

It was right up there in memorable games at Sixfields. Scoring in the first and last minute with an equaliser bang in the middle is pure drama. Chuck in a saved penalty, an ex-prem player being sent off and handbags in-between. You daren't make it up, no-one would believe it.

Sooo... picking the Gillingham game instead of this one to come back was a good choice by me?
Damn it.
