Anybody who thinks that we are bound to be safe is misguided. You only have to remember the relegation from Div 1 under Gray. One point was needed from 3 games - we didnt get it!

The support at Crawley was in number terms quite good. But the support was mainly pensioners or oldish people relatively few younger people. So the support lacked the passion so important at Crewe, Burton and Cheltenham. You need this type of support to gee up the players - it  was a bit like Accrington very lukewarm support. If we supporters dont make it to Hereford you can expect the worse. Good support makes a huge difference to the players - just ask them, they become aware of the committment. Some of the excuses overheared from supporters at lastnight's game was quite pathetic - like got to go London with Mrs or a " do in the evening"  - makes you puke.

Firstly, has as been said, some people do have a life away from football.

Secondly, plenty of people have to work on a Saturday and can't rely on mummy and daddy to pay the bills.

Thirdly, passion has nothing to do with age. The lack of passion running through our ranks last night can be put purely down to the s*** first half we put in.

How about the, 'I can afford food and that's about it, so I can't really afford to fork out a good 40 quid to go and watch Northampton'?

I am unable to go on a foreign stag do this weekend, so all my mates are unavailable for the Hereford game.
I therefore have an empty car.

If anyone wants (or knows of anyone that wants) a lift to and from Edgar street leaving at 11am returning immediately after the game let me know.

£10 per person should just about cover the diesel.
Cheers

Well if you have four people in the car - and charge them £10.00 each you should be quids in Grin

What a stupid post.  Let everyone support in a way that is appropriate to their situation.  There are a million valid reasons why people can't attend games and if you can't see that then you are utterly dillusional.

I agree. I was there last night and to be fair, certainly behind the goal we were all in good voice before the first went in. When the 2nd went in we were all a little quiet and wheel Kitson flapped at the 3rd, it was a kind of gallows humour after that as we all knew the game was over. We will all sing and support the lads vocally, in numbers and get behind them when we can but when there generally isn't much to cheer what can u expect? Anyway, we're safe now regardless what people say. For us to go down it needs a monumental swing from 3 teams to put us down. Not going to happen.

I meant three passengers at ten quid. Ninety quid to fill the car up...third of a tank to get there and back equals thirty quid....

Whilst the sentiment of the post is clearly that the team needs our support and we should do our best to go to Hereford and do so, it's phrased in an extremely naive way.

There is a world beyond NTFC, and people have working or social lives (not to mention financial constraints) which prevent them attending all 46 league games.

To be quite honest even if I had a bottomless pit of cash and a free diary, I still wouldn't have gone to away games in the last 2/3 seasons. This is solely because we've been so awful.

Can we stop the silly posts and get back to the game? Yes we should have a massive turnout, by all proper supporters (800ish), because we can finalise our future in League 2 ourselves. I think AB had an eye on Hereford by his second half decisions.

The team should be;

                 Kitson

Johnson, Langmead, Carlisle, Adams

                 Tozer

Silva, Gutterigde, Harding, Jacobs

                 Bayo

No excuses................players and fans!
