I was very frustrated on Saturday.
We never really looked in it. We had a decent little spell for about 15 minutes but that was it out of 90.
Bury looked like they were a class above us, passing the ball excellently and always seeming to have a great first touch to control the ball.
We looked sub standard and as if we hadn't even seen a football for months

It sounded frustrating on Radio Nptn.
Great marketing ploy on Guinan on FL Show though.

Dunno about that they were optimistic but you could tell that when the fans returned from the game and phoned in it was garbage..

For all your frustration and lack of drive for the Cobblers you spend more time on here than I do....! Come on....give NTFC the marmite test Insider...
Love it or hate it? If you hate it ...why spend so much time talking about it?
Your 211 posts versus my 80 suggest otherwise. I leave my account logged on because I can, Glen. Of course I love the Cobblers, and because of that the ineptitude we see every week in every aspect of the running of the club makes, I confess, my blood boil.

As I couldn't make the Bury game, was Seb Harris brought on to play up front or as a extra body at the back once Bury equalised?
Surely if we need a target man, then we need look no further than Harris and we have seen throughout pre season that he is a beast in the air and with mckay playing off him with support from midfield would surely help our league 2 tactics?

I think people forget that football clubs are not static and change over time. Saturday Banana and others seem to enjoy the current Cardoza/Sammo era whilst people like Insider and perhaps TFHMH are less enthusiastic. This doesn't make any difference to their validity of support for the club, nor should it prevent them expressing their views. Amen

Thanks, Alton. Perhaps I have been spoilt by Bill Dodgin's promotion winning team (when we watched them win 4-0 on Tuesday nights at fellow title contenders Exeter and Doncaster and totally destroyed them) and by Graham Carr's title winning side (drawing 4-4 on an atrococious Friday night at Southend and 5-0 on a Friday night in the fog at Crewe). These were two Cobbler's team that you felt would always come from behind, score more than the opposition and we really couldn't wait for each game to come around, so thrilling was the football we played. So when I compare tackling hard midfielders like Warren Donald and the exquisite passing of Andy McGowan with the oh-so-full-of-themselves Gilligan and Osman, I can only but cringe. They couldn't lace their predecessors' boots.

Unfortunately your claret tinted glasses are only focussed on a couple of seasons in the last 40 odd years? You should know that the mediocre always outweighs and outnumbers the class. We are not unique to this, the majority of other third/fourth teams suffer exactly the same. You never know, this season could turn out to be one of those that would attract the claret tinted glasses in a few years time as well! We will know come May 2011 if not before.
