For me PURCELL was MOM. Led the line superbly on his own and showed great strength and technique

Holt, Jansson and Thornton (who got stronger as the game went on) also had great games

I might give it to Balding on the basis they were all so good it'd be wrong to choose one player.

I'll go Thornton, he held us together

Just about any of them could have got my vote. There were outstading performances all over the pitch but I have to vote for Oscar for a great performance and some fantastic saves.

As I have given the lad so much stick it is only right that I give Rodgers praise for a very good performance at right back.

What a night.

You could give it to virtually any of them. Courtney Herbert had some fun out on the wing but I'm going for Rodgers

While it could be argued that we needed the gaffe by Hamer in the Reading goal to give us 'lift off' ... it was the performance of THORNTON and, as ever, the insurance of a solid goalkeeping performance that carried us through.

Thornton was inspirational: his example got the passing game of others going - initially, a lot of it was cross field but as confidence grew it became increasingly penetrative. His ability to drive forward was a joy to watch and must assure and inspire Jacobs that such running not only lifts the crowd but devastates hesitant, nervous defenders, particularly those already on a card.

Well done too to Purcell who deserves to feel truly knackered today but bursting to play on Saturday. Sammo will surely accommodate both of them now, with Thornton through the centre and Jacobs playing wider.

Any one of oscar, holty, purcell, rodgers and kev thornton.

Thornton for me. I wish Konstantinou had been credited with the goal because the skill and composure he showed was phenominal at that point in the game.

Oh what a night indeed. cannot stop fcuking thinking about it... Grin

On sat I could not find one derving player and after this match I have any of 14 players that could clinch it howeverr as Simon Cowell says I have to make a decision.

Kevin Thornton, the all round skills  throughout the 120 mins gets my vote.

Special mention to Janssen who was also superb was my runner up
