In answer to meccanostand, overall I think they have done well but there is plenty of room for improvement. I tend to look at a club like Stevenage as a model for what we could improve upon. It's a very progressive club. Their stadium is on the same road as their first team and academy training grounds. Both training grounds have been utilised in recent years. The chairman admitted he didn't have funds for a new stand so they crowd-funded it with additional grants. It's being built presently. They have an U23s which they used pre-season to give experience to some of their U18s and a few U16s. Although our current owners have done a very good job in increasing revenue from the commercial and catering side - and not forgetting the link up with Nike - I don't believe they have the interest or passion to improve the club further. That's fine. I respect that. They have done an awful lot to make us a more viable and appealing club for someone else to invest in. Because of the problems on the pitch, they are judged harshly in my opinion. When/ if they leave, I will be grateful for the time and work they've done and our continued survival.
