Praise the lord, finally. And if it doesn’t stack up so what, at least you know and can look at other options.
I think like anything of this nature, if a call goes up to contribute an extra amount (£20) per month, there will be far fewer people who immediately sign up for it, or even the idea of it, than would be required to make a decent stab of things. A record rarely goes straight in at number one in the charts does it? It will likely take a while before the idea grips the majority through terrace talk, social media, peer pressure, and on field performance (so maybe we need to go 'phoenix' first in order to climb through up leagues and gaining momentum as we do?).
As it happens I've regarded the purchase of my season ticket over the years as exactly this type of donation. The chairman can do what the fcuk he wants with my £250. In my head my payment has less to do with the number of games I get to and more to do with a commitment to NTFC. Would I double that amount and donate the price of a season ticket and £20 a month to the cause? Not at the moment no, but if there was a change of ownership and I was convinced enough that my money was going solely to develop the club and not lining the pockets of the owners, most certainly I would.
