But still somehow 3 new highest attendence records have been set at Sixfields in last 8 months. But we don't need any more seats. Cobbler 78 funny how you can be so negative whilst saying other people are negative on other threads. How does that work ?

Walsall, a club not dissimilar to NTFC in size and supporter base, has reported a profit of over £400,000 for the last financial year and has been making profits for years. How does WFC achieve this? Not on match day attendances which are normally below ours but largely through non-football activities such as advertising boards on their land adjacent to the M6 (Ok we can't compete with that) and a successful Sunday market. The club also has a night club on the site open all week which is a popular venue and earns the club money. So, as I keep posting it is not just about bums on seats every other Saturday but about utilising your premises to maximum income advantage. When are some of out supporters going to wake up and smell that coffee?

Where was I negative? All I did was state a fact.

You can either not read or are too thick to understand what others write? Nobody on here has said that they believe/think that we do not need a bigger ground...how many times do you and your dibby buddy BedsCobb need reminding of this?

I'm pretty sure that there was some kind of loan at some point which was supposed to be for improvement of facilities at the club and earn us non-match day income...

Pretty sure most people know who the idiot is. If money were no object, of course more seats would be good. Unfortunately money is an object, because, you know, real world and all that. Why pay £1m for 1000 extra seats that will get used once a season and only generate an extra £20k for each sold out game. Surely you understand that this is madness? Surely....!!

Looking around today it would appear we have quite a few survivors from the 60's. Dropped one there BB!

Read what he said Biggles. Pay particular attention to the word MOST. Note that it does not say ALL.

Lol. So we'd still rather debate a bigger ground than a decent result today.
Quick poll, who would complain if we increased the ground capacity......nobody......ok that's cleared up.

But you build for the future not the present
it we'd have beaten Grimsby in 1998 I understand the ground was due to have been extended with work starting the day after the final ,(via the much forgotten ',bolt on' method) that was almost 20yrs ago and tbh we've not really missed out on much by not having that work done back then. Which begs the question.... When is this future people speak of?

So, Marquis I take it from your comments that you would keep the ground "as is". Staggering. But, as I keep posting - it is not just about bums on seats but building to create an income stream 7 days a week that makes aspirations to Championship football realistic and most important sustainable. If you stand still in football invariably you end up going backwards.

Do you know the legal situation that is delaying the redevelopment? I suggest you don't. This is the reason for the delay.
While this is being resolved, our current stadium seating will be fit for purpose this season, and will probably only sell out for 3 or 4 games, and only then if the likes of Sheff Utd, Coventry, Peterborough, Oxford, Charlton, Bolton fill half of the East Stand and even then, I don't think we will sell 6000 home tickets.

What is your point Cobbler 78? Delays due to legal issues have nothing to do with what I have commented on in this thread.

My point is, there is no rush. Lets get the legal situation sorted and then go from there. We are better off using any money we have strengthening the team. That way, crowds will following and then there will be a need for more seats.
Everyone agrees we need the corporate side of the redevelopment doing ASAP as there is huge revenue to be had from that. However, there is no point doing that now only to have to knock it all down if its not built on "our land"

I have not ever suggested that the redevelopment should go ahead now! That would be crazy with legal issues outstanding (payment for the steel in the East Stand and the extent of our boundaries behind the stand as I understand it). I suggest you read what I post before you rush to judgment.
