sorry TCobb but what planet are you on to say the club is in a better place now !!
Then... 10 Million of land control asset, 500k player asset, near top of league 2 with top management team, lowish player wage bill and urgent £146k bill
Now... No land, little player asset, average team, inexperience manager, no development, owner who has asset stripped club and doesn't want to be here
So we have now lost approx £10.5m to KT
Please please please please explain how you think we are better off - 2 doors in toilet doesn't cut it

so Cobblerwatch you want me to give u that info now whilst KT has not done so in 3 years. My answer is the same as Beds and others, NTFC is more than capable of at the very least surviving in League 2. With the togetherness that saw us run away with it before (the season you somehow credit KT for) there is no reason why we can't thrive. Northampton easily has the customer base to support Championship football but it takes every one pulling in the same direction and believing it is possible. Again Wycombe are now in League 1 under Trust, whilst we are in League 2 despite having this genius owner / Chairman.
Fantastic business case - I’m overwhelmed with optimism.

I will still state the worst thing that can happen the NTFC is that the fans try to take control of the Club.
No, McRitchie and Cardoza were the worst thing to happen to NTFC.

£10m worth of land that we had done nothing to and no real plans to. I've said before, if that land is such an asset that could generate a lot of money then why had it either not been developed or sold on. The last 6 months under Cardoza from a football point of view were brilliant, no denying that, but what about the years before of almost loosing our place in the football league several time, Fenwick, Johnson etc and not forgetting the fact that at one point we didn't know if we would have a club to support the following weekend.
No one (I don't think) is claiming everything is perfect under KT but you summation makes it sound like everything was perfect before the big bad man came along

There a various sunk costs that go into football clubs that won't be recovered. That is the risk of private individuals purchasing a football club which is in reality a community asset.
It's good though that we are at least discussing the FO option. The Trust should have a say now.
The FO option? Dead in the water unless someone has the funds to buy the complete club and then sell shares to the fans.

No need for bashing Thomas and Bower (from what I can see). They've done a good job in 'doing the club up'. Their next move will determine their legacy. Maybe they have a real deal game changer lined up in new owners? If not then fan ownership or a coalition between fans & local money has to be a serious option. I don't hold out much hope for the mythical paternalistic megabucks owners that some do and I think 5USports proved that.

Deepcut, that's easy. You mate !!!! Well you and a few others will have to find a couple of million to buy the club. A few more million to finish the East Stand, another few hundred thousand to fund new transfers and a bit more for the day to day running of the Club. Easy. The club was sold for a few hundred grand the last few times it was sold with now a much weaker squad and no improvements made to the stadium? Whats changed that much thats raised the valuation by x8 especially now theres no land or prospects of a loan?

Figures!! Give us figures on how much it will cost. How the money will be raised and who is going to give it. Like it or not the Club is in a better place now than when KT took over, so why should he give it away ??
Really? 4th division, weaker squad, no investment, no real ground improvements made, no plans, no supporters trust, fans unsure as to future... buisness as usual I would say😂

Beds, youre a long time supporter like myself. I can see the short comings of the Club and can see what needs to be done. But just from time to time you need to come up with some real ideas, not just pie in the sky stuff. Fan ownership would not be a long term solution to any of the problems the Club have.

The case for NTFC is it is the 2nd largest town in UK, we have 100 years of history, we are centrally located with the UK, we have no big 6 club or sleeping giant within 60 miles
We took a record 44000 fans to wembley and 7000 to MK. That alone proves that if the club was actually trying to be successful rather than an investors land grab, we have the potential customers for a successful business within football.
Ipswich, Norwich, Burton even Huddersfield prove that Championship football is possible. Why Ipswich and not Northampton?
IF we had kept Morley, Hill and the likes back in 87 and someone had the vision, ambition and belief at that time then we could have been Championship
What about s*** boro they achieved it, have a much better ground and are in a much better place than we currently are, if they can do it we can't we???
IF we have a 10k ground, had a major team within 10 miles or so I would say it would be ALMOST impossible so would be more accepting, or we had always been non league in a remote part of the country, I would accept it, but we are not Yeovil, Bury, Walsall, Forest Green, Oldham, Accrington we are Northampton. We have a fantastic fanbase it's just a shame 98% seem happy to believe we should 'always be non-league' and happy to accept that.

Why do you always minimize the HMRC debt in respect of importance- we were hours away from being wound up and other than a little speculative noise no one else stepped up to help. So simply on that basis, we are in a better place now than we were 32 months ago. Should KT develop the ground (and I agree as promised) or sell up to a viable owner with the clubs interests at heart I struggling to know how you will manipulate your tone to acknowledge it .......

........................ I get your point though.
Glad you do - you certainly are on a mission to the extent that some may wonder if your marbles are all there. Some of your points are so far from reality that you almost are on a par with Lord Random.

it was days not hours. There were others actually but KT secured the deal with NBC with his promise of £4m. As i said pretty sure new owners would have got a bit more time to pay too
They wrote off the £10m he failed to spend the £3m on the East stand as he promised, he then didnt pay the £10k to the Trust, went against 'agreement / understanding' with NBC about land etc etc
