I'm struggling here, we all know that the figures are for the last financial year, BUT they are also the latest figures available and they only became available last week. Surely you can see this?

You’re right...the figures are old so I suggest that we are actually rolling in money now, those losses have completely gone because we flogged off a couple of our high earners.
Forget about the lower season ticket sales for this season (after 30th June accounts), forget about the lower TV revenue this season, forget about the lower league solidarity payment, forget about the 10% decrease in crowds this season over last, forget about the fact that we’ve sacked another manager since those accounts were done.

Nope, I’m convinced that we are no longer in debt to the tune of 5.5m and are no longe owing money hand over fist.

April fools......!!

You are completely missing the point. The point is Man04 indicated somebody failed to notice the facts - so apart from the recent financial information I assumed he had more information/facts. You seem to think that Man04 was just referring to the solitary financial information recently unearthed! If so fair enough but I don't believe for one moment that is the case.

I've heard this before that xxxxx wouldn't sign up for it but I don't buy that. Take KC, he was an out of work League 2 manager with no promotions on his CV after quite a few years in management, I would have offered him, or anyone else for that mater, a 12 month rolling contract then if he doesn't want it move on to someone who does. There are loads of out of work football mangers, it's not as if he's Jurgen Klopp or Pep is it?

Couldn’t agree more..

Paying off failed managers is a big problem, but NTFC don't seem to have learned their lesson, they gave KC a 2.75 year contract. Pretty much the same as Page, Edinburgh, JFH and DA, how many times do you need to be kicked in the b*llocks before you realise that it hurts ?
The only manager who we all wanted to stay was on a 1 year rolling contract and I really can't see a reason for giving out anything longer.

I thought it was an 18 month contract for KFC ??

Yep I'm fairly sure KC's contract only runs to the end of next season.

I thought he had got 2 more seasons after this, but I stand corrected. I'd still have given him a one year rolling contract, it's still not a bad pay out if you are sacked, a lot more than most people in the real world get.

once all the land grabbers grab everything,  we can then hope for real owners,  those who believe in our club and work to grow it not assets strip it.

Maybe because of the price tag hoisted on a business with considerable debt and very few assets?

Notts County have a historic status so will always attract investment, even if the money doesnt actually exist.
Port Vale has taken  3 years to get investment and the owner has said hes out at the end of May anyway (will put them into administration) because of fan protests.
Yeovil have also been up for sale for over 3 years even after selling of land to support the clubs finances.

Bury also in financial trouble and MK also reporting losses. Im not saying everything is rosey but trying to demonstrate the grass isnt always greener.

All the clubs you mentioned have played in the championship or above in recent memory,  we haven't even got near!  Our not so green grass is looking like its the result of a scorched earth policy after 50 years of poor ownership that has taken a heavy toll.
Saying Notts county are a bigger draw than us due to being older than pyramids is nonsence, they're even a small club in their own town!
What keeps our chances of investment at bay are those ensconced at our club for the wrong reasons who wont be relinquish control for anything less than a kings ransom that they won't ever get,  so until they get bored, it looks like they're in it for a long haul and us of basement dwelling,  water treading mediocrity for the next decade or so.
Our club deserve a break, so you being a good friend on Facebook with these outsider speculator, could in fact be doing long term harm to the club you claim to support?

Try for once pointing out the achievements of the many clubs enjoying successful times rather than a few clubs in melt down?

Or maybe because it's worth a lot more??

Perhaps nobody is going to get it for a quid.

Yes, the whole group....Stadium, Hotel, Arena and Football Club.

Football club revenue was down 22%, thats their price of relegation from League 1 to League 2. However they may be going back up again this season.....

As someone also posted, the infrastructure is owned and is worth £100m, so losses of £4m shouldn't worry them too much.

We have lost over £2m in the same period and our assets are....erm....!

Serious question: Ballpark figure, how much would you expect NTFC to be worth?

As with everything else, it is worth what someone will pay for it.
