I’ve not commented on anything for quite a while. This whole saga has become tiresome. The debate without any movement or new news goes nowhere apart from Beds diatribe and the retorts. I still struggle to see what prevents a planning application being submitted on the CDNL controlled land to push nbc to make a public decision on planning matters. I know the likely benefit to the club may be minimal but something has to give.
I’m almost at the point of f uk it just turn up to the games like the majority.

.........Would you be surprised if I told you Everbrite was one of the last who woke up and smelt the coffee regards baby Cardoza, the Captain, Mac and the Bushey boys? What always amazed me was when I turned up saturday afternoons to join my little group of fellow season ticket north standers was how little interest in what was going on off the field or conversation about it there was. Long live this Redev thread, I doubt Sussexcobbler had any idea what kind of monster he was creating!
An interesting take on the Redev thread and I agree on GPC contribution on the financial statistics which required a careful and diligent investigation. Most of his comments seemed pretty factual. To me the missed opportunity to nail Cardozo was at that fateful Feb ‘15 meeting in which only one member confronted Cardozo On the then current situation. As events subsequently proved the challenger was right. The fierce exchanges between Hallam Cobbler together with Cricketside against others on here was always a good read. You are right to mention that the majority of support were unaware of Cardoza’s machinations; just by travelling to away games did I realise how indifferent most were.

Surely it would be better to have a full guarantee as to what the clubs supporters and the town of Northampton can expect from any future profits from council land deals at Sixfield than waiting, hoping for the best! Having been personally told by Thomas on a radio show the CNDL land is privately owned and not subject to helping the club enable redevelopment, I have no reason not believe him!! We need a line drawn in the sand as to what land is there to benefit the football club and what's belongs to Thomas and co so a clean break for the football club can commence.

We have a meeting the week after next, specifically about this subject, and hope to put out some details when we send out our AGM letters.
Thanks Barton, hopefully there will be something positive to report...

Look mate.. Surely you along with everybody else can see how bored we all are of all of this. Can't you see that all of the things that you keep saying we need answer to, are not available on here. Nobody can deny your tenacity. But it hasn't extended any further than posting the same thing over and over again for ever. Not one single person is opposed to a sustainable league club, based on a community model, that maximizes it's potential. It is not the preserve of you, or the Trust, or indeed anyone else. KT WILL not answer you on here. You will NOT get an answer on here. Surely yo have to be able to see that he is hell bent on following a certain path. Whether or not that is right, is the only thing up for debate, and we have known for quite a long time, who resides on which side of that debate. So there is nothing to be achieved from this perpetual revisiting of the same point. All of us want the same. Nobody is doing anything more than anybody else to further that. They are all just talking themselves into oblivion. I suppose you could argue it's totally undemocratic of we to suggest that we should try to stifle debate. But this is not debate. This is entrenched perspectives. They are not going to shift. I can completely and utterly understand what Zen Master says about just turning up at the games. I got to that place some time back. Off of the back of BS from all involved. And I mean all......

I was replying to CJ re Thomas submitting a planning application and hoping in vane the club gets something from it. If a question is raised, it's only polite to reply..no? As for you just getting fed up of Thomas's dragging his feet as to what it is he plans, and then just sit there sucking it up, that's fine, you go ahead, I'm not so patient after these 18 years of Cardoza/Thomas bull5hit I have stopped going to home games.

I've refused tickets but might start to take a look in at the Saints, they have a strong side this year. Didn't Thomas once take a butchers down Franklin gardens as to getting ideas of what ntfc need, He mustn't have liked what he saw He played us like a finely tuned banjo

Deepcut wrote earlier this week that this thread has become the home for all non-football Cobblers related posts. I understand his point but all the multitudinous comments under the title “Redevelopment” come back really to one underlying issue and that is the ownership of the club and connected to that the motives of our owners and their intention or otherwise to invest in the structural infrastructure of the club in respect of which the East Stand continues to be a running sore as we approach year 5 of their tenure.
My views about KT/DB are well versed over many years on this site and there is no need for me to repeat them. I understand fully where those are who have said they are sick and tired of the issue and have been sufficiently worn out by it to reach a state of indifference. I can only suggest that is a dangerous place to be because I believe that this plays into the hands of our owners who are being allowed without any pressure from supporters to plan their way, quite possibly, to considerable personal profits on the several acres of land behind the East Stand, some of which is within the footprint of the 2004 lease in the name of NTFC but which as regards the land from the East Stand to the middle of the athletics track is also the subject of a lease to CDNL owned by DB/KT of course. That took some doing and this negligence is the responsibility of the Council from which error it appears CDNL is seeking to benefit. Nothing has been said about benefit to NTFC other than the usual mantra from KT of “always acting in the best interests of the club”.
As some have pointed out criticism is the easy part and that finding a solution is the challenge. Over a week ago I started a constructive exchange with Melbourne on football club ownership in the EFL generally quoting some latest figures from across the EFL which make for worrying reading. There is a widespread view that there are more Burys in waiting. It is my view that the way forward is to follow the German community ownership model and that applies very much to NTFC.

The whole thing is doing my head in. And when I say that I genuinely don't mean the work that you and the Trust have done. There has been some very interesting and revealing points come out of that. What I find most frustrating is two things.. The suggestion by a significant number of inactive characters (not you), that they somehow either have a better insight into matters around the club. Or that they somehow hold a higher moral perch because they repeat the same thing in virtually every post. When will the penny drop that we all want a progressive, open and well run club. The fact that council have more than likely left us high and dry again. None of us can really know what KT & DB will do with any potential wealth generated by the land around Sixfields. But one thing is for sure. The council have repeatedly left the future of the club in a precarious position.

The Council it seems have been foxed by Thomas and co in securing land they thought they had taken back in house? That's not the council doing us over but them being taken for mugs due to some nievity. It now looks like this has caused a stalemate.. Whatever, I really hope the council stands strong in defence of all the pit falls that could and will befall our clubs future well being should this drag on and on! These are desperate times in which open dialogue and suggestions from all interested parties is essential, the fact you're bored with the whole situation is immaterial.

I would like to comment but I think it would be inappropriate of me to do so at present other than to suggest to Beds that he checks the known facts which I have set out on this thread on numerous occasions and is summarised by the Trust's statements on its website, the most relevant recent one of which is dated 16 July.
Other than Jonathan Nunn attending the Trust's open meeting there have been no further developments disclosed although it is common knowledge that CDNL is engaged in continuing discussions with the Council. What comes out of these discussions is going to define the future of the club in many respects.
In NBC we trust? In DB/KT we trust?
