Problem is they have alienated themselves to KT so he will never see them as neutral.

We talk the same language, just differently..  Wink

Let's imagine for a minute that the trust are running the club and suddenly the floodlights fail.

Oh! We can't fix them until we've had a committee meeting in two weeks time.

A joke, a conplete and utter joke.

They are volunteers fitting in Trust items after a days work.

Whilst I might not agree with every aspect of their decisions, I respect the time and effort they put in for the benefit of NTFC.

.......and you do what?

Completely agree with the sentiment as with anyone volunteering their time for something they are passionate about.

That said, if the trust were more fleet of foot with the administrative bits, they could spend that precious time and effort on things that actually are for the benefit of NTFC and/or the supporters. Nobody gains anything from all this dithering about whether and when to meet the club chairman.

There is no dithering. They said what they would do and they are doing it. Softly, softly, catchee monkey.

It's very much dithering. All this needs to be is an initial chat between Kelvin Thomas and Andy Roberts. All Andy needs to do is look at his diary, find some times when he's free and send them to Kelvin Thomas saying "do any of these work for you?".

If the Trust really feel the need to go in mob-handed it just needs Andy to look at his diary, find when he's free and then email a list of dates and times to the other board members first. They send him an email back, Andy compiles the responses and establishes on what dates the Trust can pull together a quorum of members and then they send that list to Kelvin Thomas.

Even allowing time for everyone to look at their emails and check their diaries that should take no more than 2 days to turn it around and come back with a set of proposed dates. It certainly shouldn't involve a week long wait (and much longer if you go back to the original invite) for a board meeting just to come up with a few dates!

I'd say that was the very definition of dithering.

See previous comment...

Taken from the trust Facebook page when asked about zoom meeting with KT...

The Trust board meets on Thursday (tonight) to discuss suitable dates for a meeting which we will then forward to Kelvin.

I spend all of my non football spare time over the last 20 years volunteering to help PTSD clinics all over the country and in between that at my local food bank.  Then travelling 2 hours south to a home game. My family barely see enough of me as it is, but they travel everywhere with me and do other things than football.

What do you do when you are not working?

So, trust

After your board meeting last night, you finalised some zoom dates & emailed them to KT yet?

They will need another meeting when Kelvin agrees a time with them, then another meeting to decide what level volume to have the computer set at, then another one to decide how to respond to each question.
In the meantime man will have visited Mars and Jupiter.

?

You've not got the same opinion as them so they resort to thinking you must be David.

Relatively standard approach for people of that ilk.

I'm just glad that the organisations I volunteer for don't need to wait for a meeting to decide something because people would either starve or take their own life.

I can't believe a committee that is voted in to make important decisions can't.

It shouldn't really bother me now as I will not be renewing my membership when it's due. I used to support the trust but this episode has revealed to me how useless it is.
