1h Finally there is still a process that needs to be completed before any work starts. KT couldn’t be drawn on a timescale. Says proposal is with the council and they are going through their own processes etc
So is this the only remaining issue that is preventing work commencing? "The preferred deal for the football club is an Option Agreement with WNC to enable the club to buy the freehold CDNL land with the option only being exercised when the East Stand is complete" It reads as though the club have now openly shown their hand to gather support for WNC to agree to the terms.

If you were WNC would you sell them the freehold after the alleged underhand way they obtained the lease? Personally I would wait till 2024 and exercise the option.

I think Robert is not doing himself or the trust any favours, he has fallen into the trap that if you dont agree with the Trust then you must agree with KT. Just shows how far the Trust is distanced from the fan base when they refuse to see that people have the intelligence to make their own minds up. Robert , belittling the fans in such a way is not going to win you many admirers or the trust many new members.

I’ve also got back after a long talk with Kelvin.
I told him I’m a critic and wasn’t going to hide behind a screen when the chance came to have a word. I’ve always said this and will do at the start, he is a good salesmen. I fully see how he’s been successful.
Takeaways from the chat.
They’ve done the best that they can with what has been left. They wanted to knock it down but it’s too expensive. They’ve had the drawings since April. The club owns the land behind the East Stand, not any individual. West Northamptonshire council are far more supportive, and the Northamptonshire Labour Party have also backed him. Timeline, he’s hoping within six months. Trust was obviously mentioned and I said both parties have handled things badly throughout. Won’t say what followed out of respect to both parties.
Footballing chat Racic, Bolger and Mitchell panned. Oliver didn’t sign because people at the club reported he’d not manage two games a week. Turnbull released was Curles decision. Firm decisions made early r.e. Watson and Jones.
I am still in the, believe it when I see it camp. I’m glad I went and challenged him on multiple topics. Fingers crossed something happens because I want to see this club push forward. Absolutely sick of league two every couple of years.
Good report and decent thoughtfulness too.

This would be my preferred option and I will be writing in the strongest possible term to the council to that effect.

Manwork, are you saying that after years of moaning that the Club have not completed the Stand, you are now going to write to the Council to get them to delay it ?
Much prefer Dan's approach, he is fully hoping that the Club will push the Development forward , had the balls to go and see KT and confront him with his fears. Hat off to Dan for not sitting behind his keyboard.

Perhaps someone more legally savvy could tell me why CDNL still exist? They have no assets, no staff, and two directors...guess who? If NTFC "control" CDNL then what is the point of CDNL? Why don't the leases just get signed over to the Football Club so that the Football Club gains the benefits from the proposed sale/redevelopment?

So after all that the club can’t announce a starting date.
Just one small request to the club
Can you please stop wasting people’s time and not hold any more meetings until you announce work is to start.
I in no way speak for anyone but myself but there have been over ten years of talks about redevelopments and diddly squat has actually occurred.
I’d love it if someone with the time and inclination could find out how many presentations / meetings have happened in that time.
Make sure the next meeting has the passed planning permission and the start date.
Ta.

Just remember the land deal is worth upward of £100m,
I would like to see some proof of this please because I am not totally sure that a few acres of ex-landfill site with methane gas issues, where you can't build a flat road and every building has to have a methane guage in case the levels get too high, is worth £100 million

Agree but we need to know what his exit is going to look like and what debt provisions will be in place. KT will be gone before the ink dries so we need to plan for that.
Look I’m all for free enterprise BUT when it’s close to home we need to see our fair share of the land deal, an example could be top tiers for the North and South stands, investment elsewhere, training facilities etc.
you moron, screw you!

All, I have a positive response from the Trust who have promised to answer the questions and make them public. Hopefully an opportunity for us to pull together a bit and move forward. I think most agree we increasingly need a support base as unified as possible under a representative Trust. It’s a possibility that things may change quite rapidly in the coming months and as a result the role of the Trust may become increasingly relevant.

KT organised this whole event to discredit the Trust, as I said the timing was laughable, there is a lot of Skeletons in closets, I think it’s time a few of them were revealed! Just remember the land deal is worth upward of £100m, are we getting our fair share of it? Is it best value for the people of Northampton.
In the light of recent events, your words are as boring as the rest of the melee. I go as far back as Vintage constantly spouting about oil rising to the top. I’m tired of the increasing amount of over inflated egos in this, unfortunately you have become one of them. I have NEVER sat firmly on either side of the fence. But I am tired of the ever increasing number of so called supporters, who are more than happy to “fiddle whilst Rime burns”.

Totally agree. It’s only worth what a developer will pay for it and with the current climate (without the millions of remediation required) I can’t see it is worth that much. You can’t put houses on it. A lot of that road is barren, you have the Saints car park and very little else. Without the fact that large areas of Sixfields itself remain undeveloped and sinking. It could well remain a white elephant for years to come. Maybe a car park and Nando's. They’ll do well to cover their losses and fund the stand. I say give them the lease. It’s of no consequence if they make a few quid. It’s a step up from cashing a council cheque for your house in Brampton.

I think the £100m was a rough figure going back to the days when there was a proposal to build 330 houses on the land amongst other things.
All that has gone by the by now.....single story warehouses on there if anything at all. The land where the Athletics track was and where the car park is shown in the new picture has been capped.....everything else needs, as you rightly say, millions of pounds worth of remediation work to make it fit for much.

What the fûck are you going on about? What’s my ego got to do with anything? If you can’t see what’s going on then you are either complicit or on the pay role. Happy to meet up to discuss?
