Had a walk down there at dusk last week from Weston Mill. Bats dipping about my head, happy dog and lots of bird life, a few horses and great sunset vista. Bootiful.
Anyway I digress. Bloody CDNL / KT & DB / Cilldara / Supporters Trust and Legal Rep/ NBC /WNC / First Land and the Bushey Boys / Mack / Ansell Burgers / Derek Banks / Micky Bodley / FTP / Sc***horpe and The Gas.

I prefer a goose to a swan. On the table and in the wild.
I have been lead to believe, that their fat is essential in order to achieve the perfect roast potatoe?

I would imagine a wild/feral Goose would taste of grass and whatever foliage it had eaten

Five minutes response time. WOW! So once again, what do the Trust plan to build that is going to entice me out of my current pre match watering hole? Its nice and warm in there, box parks are not. Plus building next to a truck stop, stinks of diesel and other things. More reason not to leave the pub, in favour of somewhere that cannot be seen from the rest of the Sixfields complex. So what do you propose that is so superior to warehouses? No Saints comparisons please.
This I find interesting for a number of reasons TK. You replied to Randoms post within a minute, quicker than he replied to yours. Random will probably have known about the Trust release beforehand so could reasonably have expected some comment from others on here and would probably have been ready to reply to that. MC on the other hand replied to your link to the Trust release within minutes with more than one critical post. Nonetheless, Random remains everyone's Fall guy. It's good to be back.

What I find disconcerting, is when you respond to my posts, I can see the words "hard on" immediately beneath your quote. Just to clear things up, you aint my type son.

Maybe Random and I finish work at the same time each day....maybe the Trust only release their statements when they see I'm online. Not sure what you find so interesting about me replying so quickly and why that would be a problem? Oh and I would add it's just my opinion. I think it would be more effective for the Trust to address concerns directly with the parties involved than another Powerpoint and even the most biased of thinking must see just a touch of irony in the Trust Board criticising a deal that's better than what they were offering. Were Cilldara building a multi-story car park for them?

Geese are not mammals neither are they invertebrates That just dawned on me whilst I was having my tea. You have absolutely no idea how stupid I now feel. Still don't go with your theory though, and still prefer a goose to a swan. Was bitten by a swan as a child, might have something to do with it.

I also recommended the washlands as a good place for a walk. I'd no idea It was there until a few years back but it's a nice, easy, circular walk and particularly pleasant in the summer.

I can assure you, wild goose does not taste of grass and yes goose fat doing roasties is excellent.

For anyone who doesn't like geese there was a whole murmur of swans at Dav Country Park last week.

Didnt like either of them. So, what would you prefer, the secure Red Lion with all facilities, the Sausage cafe with some facilities, or somewhere tucked behind the east stand with no facilities? Random will not answer me.

Didn't like either of them...don't follow? Erm, well I never had a night out in 15 years of class one let alone tramped so I can't speak with any experience in that respect, but you wouldn't have caught me at the Sausage if I had, or the Lion until very recently. That answer your question? But I have no doubt that a lorry park behind the east would be used if the charge was right and it was secure, that's regardless of facilities available.

It's a lamentation of swans and a murmuration of starlings.

Is this a circular route that you could run around? Does it have any actual paths rather than just grass? Always looking for new scenic places to run.
. I believe it is but you need to take a peek at the link provided as it comments on the trails etc. Also Sixfields Lake is apparently not the site Beds was referring to but Storton Pits. Which indeed fits in with his description on size (only) being 22 hectars. I used to run along the embankment from the Boat House on the Nene (nr the Britannia Inn) to Weston Favell Mill. By the sounds of it Storton Pits is a more suitable area to run. https://data.wildlifetrusts.org/reserves/stortons-pits-and-duston-mill-meadow. Both sites are nature reserves.
