Didn't like either of them...don't follow? Erm, well I never had a night out in 15 years of class one let alone tramped so I can't speak with any experience in that respect, but you wouldn't have caught me at the Sausage if I had, or the Lion until very recently. That answer your question? But I have no doubt that a lorry park behind the east would be used if the charge was right and it was secure, that's regardless of facilities available.
You mean class A.

Thanks for the heads up Saucy. Looking at the maps it appears that Sixfields Lake is part of the gravel pits complex; on some maps Storton pits seems to cover the whole area from Sixfields to at least as far as Weston Mill. From all the years I spent running along the Nene I never realised that the Gravel Pits were known as Storton Pits. You learn so many things on here . By the way I hope all you Keyboard heroes are making the effort to get to Colchester on Saturday as I understand Mad Michelle is bringing her own gang of Boudica's

Here are the facts on Sixfields Lake : https://interests.me/org/northamptoninfo/story/106746/ampIt’s an area of 1 hectare (2.47acres) with a walk of 3.5miles which can be completed in less than 1 hour, bird watchers might dwell longer! Before you made your assertion on this proposed ‘huge’ site did you bother to evaluate your claim first? It's only small according to you... So we'll park it up at that.

This would be about the mid nineties. Stortons gravel pits were around a long time before then. I assume that it was dug for water storage purposes. By the way if you do venture down to the small car park, flash your lights a few times, and leave your window partly open, you should make a few new friends.

Thread gets more bizarre everyday however a simply yes/no question I'd love to get an answer from Derek, Beds and their fellow comrades (several who suggest they don't dirty their hands by reading THE - but seem remarkably well informed of what is being said).
Do you want the JD to find against WNC so (at least until there is another round of bidding) CDNL do not get the land?
A one word answer would be welcome - justifications can come later

Well for those that joined forces with a competing bidder surely they've already given you an answer by that very action.

not necessarily MC, we would have least been at the table To answer Peter's question very honestly - i really don't know !!! As I have zero faith in KT to do anything but the minimum he has to for our football club and about the same level of faith in WNC to do the right thing for both the football club and Northampton, I really don't know. If KT gets the land despite what he claims, there is no obligation on him to finish the stand and refuses to give personal written guarantees. So I think he will sell the land and all the costs etc will be claim back as debt and nothing left (including losing most of the running track land) for us. So at this point, him getting his £6-£7m return is not important to me, the only downside is the question of how quickly he will leave if that happens and what he did with our football club, but that would be on him, not WNC, not the Trust or anyone else. The Trust got him the golden deal in the 1st place, he then got a £6.68m gift (or whatever that was) from the Chinese, plus £2.5m in transfer fees and still he wants every penny and inch of land he can get. As I live in Northampton, I want Sixfields to be better, i want more dining and entertainment options - I certainly don't want any warehouses on the North Car park or other bit next to Walter Tull. So if that also means that WNC have to reevaluate the land deal than perhaps not a bad thing but I really am not sure. IF KT left all of the running track and guaranteed say £2.5m into the football club for investment then I would be singing loud and proud for CDNL. Meanwhile at the Saints they manage to build a state of the art in door training ground with zero land enabling deals so surely 17 acres is enough to leave the running track in reserve for our future. Is it really that much to ask?

Absolutely spot on, however the politics of this twisted little saga make KT the preferable bidder, he is the master manipulator and holds all the cards. As I have said many times he’s a smart business man.

It feels like I know more about your partnership with Cilldara than you do. I assume it was a serious bid. I assume the aim was for the bid to be successfull? The very consequence of the success of that bid would have meant the CDNL bid wasn't. Therefore by partnering with Cilldara you were trying to scupper the CDNL bid. You are worried about the lack of car parking, don't want warehouses on the North Car Park, want the owners to invest some of the land profits in the club, I assume you want the East Stand finishing as well. You do realise NONE of that would have ever been achieved under your joint bid with Cilldara. What next? You going to start protesting against yourself? As for the rest you've repeated all that soooooooooooo many times even you must be bored.

I want a finished east stand to an acceptable standard along with a 2 to 3000 capacity increase to allow our club to progress out of the basement division by using our clubs share of the £20,000,000..Surely we all do? Will cdnl/thomas give us that? Of course not, but with pressure and the risk of them losing out they may be forced into doing the right thing by NTFC. so I want ones in charge that can deliver what the football club of Northampton is desperate for. Thomas has good friends on the council who wrongly believe he is doing what we all want, regardless if its best for NTFC and its future. They need to be corrected as a matter of urgency. So you cannot have a one word answer in the absence of the facts. WNC must not be foolishly and Nievly led down the same hole as NBC found themselves.

Been off for a while and we are up to £20m now are we. Give it a few more months and we'll be competing against Newcastle in the summer transfer window.
