I've just heard the capacity will be less than at first stated. Is this true?

Maybe they've decided that after coping fine with 3 stands for a few games that any seats in the East Stand will be a bonus. Perhaps there'll be some bowling lanes and cinema going in there now.

Oh christ, now we're going to get people on here demanding to know what happened to the bowling alley and cinema we were promised.  Tongue

I am going to enjoy the eating of humble pie next month of the usual half dozen moaning, anti DC, 'experts' when the plans for the future of the club are finalised!

Wait a little bit longer and the patience of the vast majority of supporters will be rewarded.

IN DC WE TRUST!............and CW.

Of the many things I've heard is that there will be an additional announcement and I'd be more than happy if true.
However I've heard 100s of rumours good and bad over the last year so I'm still just going to wait and see. At the moment I'm more worried about what happens on the pitch.

If the bowling alley doesn't happen there will be protests and I for one will 'spend not one penny more' (That's quite catchy I wonder if we could use that as a campaign) with the club until nothing has changed and I get bored.

You mean it's not happening?
It's a great idea as long as they don't mix the balls up when retrieving from the stand. It would make the Tozer bomb a lot more interesting.

Having looked at the plans I cant see that anything has changed since the last update.
The Stand will have seats at the bottom a concourse in the middle and boxes at the top. The last plan showing the over head view outlines boxes only in the middle and if they don't put in restricted view seats that would probably be wise.
Someone stated that there was a clear standing section on the plan, I think you will find that the picture in question just shows how the disabled section view will not be obstructed if people in the last rows of seats stand for any reason.
I think the stand will look fine especially next to the improved North and South stands.

Indeed.... I'm keeping the powder dry but when the club gives more updates ...... I think there'll be a few who may feel they've been harsh.

No they wont. They'll just change the parameters of their disgust. They'll always be something to sob about. Life's so unfair boo hoo.

"We've listened to the whinging few and realise they represent the views of more supporters than we first thought and changed some of the plans accordingly."

Yes, I think it will be a major improvement.

Good point Cobblertone, if, by any chance the capacity is increased elsewhere in the Stadium now instead of later, that could well mean the club has listened to supporters concerns, proving the point you can get things changed by bringing it to their attention on forums etc.

If the plans have changed for the better, everyone who moaned was right too and it got things changed. If the plans have changed for the better, then everyone who trusted DC with the development were also right.

Everyones a winner! I love it!  Grin

I wonder what would happen if the revised plans don't get planning permission considering half the steel work is up

Excuse my ignorance, but all the talk seems to be about yet more new plans. Can someone take the time out to explain as i can't find any info to suggest they have been changed again, e.g. is the west no longer being done, is the east now going to be bigger and what the xxxx is happening to the north and south. Huh?
