Didn’t tell us she was an x teacher but did try to flog us the pub. Up for sale its a great little place, that is until you see the living quarters... I dropped her name thinking you might chip in, are Northampton and the Cobblers really that parochial, or is it just you who knows everyone?! Have to say I can't remember seeing her before and I've been around for a while. I've thought of a suitable name for KT's webcam show. Cobblerswatch.
She never actually used to attend many matches preferring to spend the afternoon in the Tavern on the fruit machines. And she still owes me for a Cropredy festival ticket, but I have written that off. No, I dont know everybody, just a select few.

There’s a rumour that the EFL are being lobbied to force clubs to build “more professional looking stadia”.
Apparently, this is an initiative someone has come up with to resolve falling attendances in the EFL Trophy?

It’s still nothing to do with you, or anyone else. You can conjure up some association with it, in a desperate attempt to bolster your point. But we all know you’re wrong. You might as well lay claim to the cars they drive, or their houses.
The one thing that has been ever present in all the time we've had discussions on here is the use of exaggerations as a last form of justification of time wasting ownership.. You are right in it being no longer my problem as I won't give NTFC another penny * But those about to invest £400 in a season ticket must be allowed to want more investment and improvements to the infrastructure... (* I reserve the right to blag a ticket for a cup game against a big well run club should we ever again get past round 1 or a near future L2 playoff game)

The one thing that intrigues me about the redevelopment is what will Dave, Derek, the WALOC bloke et al do once the East stand development is completed?
The East stand is just a small part of what is needed to allow ntfc to progress.... So as I said previously, once Thomas cuts the ribbon to this shameful non league stand costing a vast £5.800,000 , then sets off to enjoy his good fortune, NTFC will immediately need to go to reset and begin rebuilding the club correctly with what little we're left with from a lowly position... So to answer your question, we'll be set back 20 years so we'll all be hoping to get in proper owners who are in it for the football club.

Nobody is disputing anyone's right to an opinion of the ground, the squad, even the ticket office and club shop. But your continuous referring to them as land grabbers and property developers has no relevance to any of our limited stake in the clubs interests. It is a complete aside. And probably nothing more than childish name calling and petty jealousy. I know you like to throw in all sorts of nonsense to bolster as I say, a weak point. But it has to at least be relevant to the club. In terms of you personally. You have virtually no right to moan. You don't contribute to what there is now. So you have effectively, like Derek, absented yourself from the debate. It doesn't mean that you are not entitled to your view. But it will mean that you can't claim to have been impacted by anything, like myself and thousands of others can. As far as I can see, they are finally delivering on what they said they would. If you can produce any evidence, other than a personal wish lists, that suggests that they do not intend to deliver on their initial promise, feel free to present it. Otherwise it sounds like you are just moaning because they are not doing what you want. Not what they said.

Decent opinion on said poster and is without personal and abusive comments. It’s how to reply to a one sided opinionated poster! Perhaps a lesson to us all how to conduct a counter argument!

All this may be the case but he is still entitled to express his opinion just as you are, irrespective of how much he spends at the club. His estimation of the owners I would suggest is central to any view he may hold. What happens next will highlight whether or not he is correct but by their own statements it seems once the land deals are divvied up they will fly like the wind (if they are going to make it to the border of Mexico). Every opinion is repeated over and over on here by every poster because the arguments go round and round (like a record).

I'm not sure you have comprehended at all what I said. I definitely said he is entitled to an opinion. But I stated that he doesn’t have a right to MOAN. As he isn’t financially impacted, or inconvenienced by any of it. I haven’t disputed with anyone that the owners might leave. In fact I have consistently stated that it would not matter, as long as they complete the East stand, and leave us on an even financial keel. Another area where you are wrong is regarding the repetition of the debate. There have been distinct shifts in opinion from those who could be termed as anti KT. For years they have stated that if they get the land, that we shouldn’t expect them to complete the East stand. And that we should expect them to sail off into the sunset, as the “land grabbers” they are. I have lost count of the amount of times I have seen contributors mocked for suggesting that the owners will most likely honour their promise. Now they have, the mantra is not an apologetic one. Or even to be contrite. It is derision and mockery in the form of “you wait and see, they will run for it as soon as the East is finished”. Of course he, me, and anyone can be right, if we move the posts until we are. You might have seen some degree of remorse by certain posters for calling the owners liars for many years now about the completion of the East. I obviously missed that. There's a lot to be said for the “least said, least harm done” adage in this instance. In no way have current owners proved to be as malevolent as quite a few of our previous owners. We have seen modest, but doubtless progress in many areas under their tenure. Yet a few people have developed a less than healthy obsession with them. A lot of it abusive, and on many occasions completely untrue. Perhaps you might want to address that occasionally..
