To be fair it hasn't been built from scratch! The foundations and the entire concrete section originally built there in 1994 is still in place. I presume it is still sitting on its original foundations too so thats a fair bit of work they haven't had to do.....to be fair!

Even so, a straight division of extra seats verses cost isn't reflective of anything really. You may as well divide by 7,000 odd new seats that are going in.

I've just nipped down to the ground to see how the East stand is developing. If anyone can let me know how I upload photos from my phone I can put some on here.

True. What will be reflective is what we eventually end up with for our 7.5 million - or whatever the amount being spent really is Wink

When our stand is finished we'll be able to make a comparison with other stands that ARE currently being built from scratch. And by this time next year we'll be able to compare it with the Saints new stand. They believe that for their 5 million they can demolish the Sturtridge, remove the rubble, and build an impressive looking 2,800 capacity stand.

It could get interesting Grin

Footnote: County Cobbler and WhitedogsHhit are still very quiet. Aren't we now overdue for their 'splendid news'?

I have some news.

I've heard down the grapevine that David Cardoza is having his doors and 8 windows replaced at his home by Safestyle. He's got a home improvement loan out for enough to cover the cost and has chosen to go with white UPVC with a claret front door with a portal window. All windows and doors will come with multi point locks. He's hopeful that all the work will be completed by the new year however as with all building work this can't be guaranteed due to possible bad weather or waiting for delivery of stock.

HOWEVER, obviously he needs to run this by the supporters. For a start should he have 7 windows or maybe knock another couple of holes in his house walls to make it up to 10? Is white okay or should he choose wood effect? What about Safestyle? Perhaps Everest or Anglian windows might do a better job? Are multipoint locks the way to go? Is the loan he has taken out the cheapest he could have got and on the best terms? Will he be able to look round the neighbourhood afterwards and see another house with better windows and doors, maybe even for a cheaper price? All these questions not only require answers, we as supporters demand answers.

Yes, I know it's his home and his money but he will obviously need your input and by Christ if he doesn't get this right there will be hell to pay on here for years to come. We don't want to be driving by his house in the future thinking it could have been so much better had he just listened to what we advised rather than doing what he thinks is best for himself, family and business. The bare faced cheek of the man. Disgraceful!

A humorous post marvo and what david does with his own property should be very much his own business after all he may well stay in his property for many years to come.
However as a chairman of a business relying in no small part on the investment of customers I do think that David would be extremely naive if he thought the said paying customers had no interest in the said changes to the stadium into which business they were paying money into long before mr cardoza came onto the scene and in all likely hood will continue patronising long after he has left.
In a nutshell david may be improving his own home for the long term in which he has no customers and yet in a business in which he relies on customers to keep it a going concern he goes about it in the same way despite the fact that unlike his own home he may only be connected to ntfc for the short term.
Ps I wonder if he paid for the front of the east stand to get built and got the back done free.
If not he should definately employed safe style uk rather than county developments. Grin

255 new homes! That's almost more new houses in total than there will be new seats in the stadium!

For every house sold a free season ticket..perhaps.

Some of those houses are pretty close to the back of the stand, they could asked for their own personal entrance?
