I've just nipped down to the ground to see how the East stand is developing. If anyone can let me know how I upload photos from my phone I can put some on here.

Google "Imgur" - quite easy to manage

Here's what I was told today.

The original architect/designer/project manager did the first design and thought he'd overspent by £5million. This is when the designs changed to the restricted view seats etc. Then the architect/designer/project manager realised that he hadn't cocked the budget up at all and there was still £5million to play with. However, it was too late as building of the altered plans had already been agreed and confirmed. This is apparently why there is lots of legal bits going on at the moment.

I have no idea if this is true, please don't sue me Jesus.

So the new east stand is as big as it ever will be, seeing as the new homes back onto it. Let's hope we never get to the Prem then because we're going from an ideally placed ground to one that isn't.

Exactly what I was thinking.  Why not leave a gap just a little larger. Franklins gardens has the same problem with the lift tower estate.

Your sense of humour needs a much larger stage. So much talent, so little recognition. Bernard Manning eat your heart out.

I have some news.

As shoey points out a little different. Asking genuine questions about where this money is being allocated and how it will affect the long term future of the club is far less absurd than those on here who choose to stick their fingers in their ears, close their eye's and go lar lar lar.

If NTFC were a private business as you allude to it would've gone bust in the 70's. It's only here because the dedication and support of individuals, many of whom have given time and money they could ill afford. It's also a business afforded a home courtesy of the taxpayers of the county so as far away from a private house you can get.

Sure DC may have fooled the nodding dogs (who no doubt have never run a business) by the "business sense" bullshit of omitting the seats but the omission of half the work to the stadium DC quoted would happen at a cost of £5m ++ is very questionable.

These government backed Euro development loans are not infinate and DC/Buckingham being granted this money to develop Sixfields will mean another project and somebody else has missed out.

The east stand (lean -to) that has emerged from the smoke and mirrors seems to have fooled some on here but you know what they say, "you can fool some of the people..."
