Talking of facts Bubbles, how many non league grounds have stands with executive boxes? Asking for the judge 😉
How many haven't? It made me laugh the club mouth peice blowing smoke saying for the first time in our clubs 130 years have we pitch facing boxes...Not pointing out we're actually the very last professional club to also have them 😀

Beds the East Stand had a Capacity of just over 1700 when it was built, The current owners put 145 extra seats in to bring the Capacity up to what it is now. The Capacity of Sixfields increased from 7,653 to 7798 in 2016 after the seats were fitted back into the Reprofiled Stand. Around another 300 or more seats to be fitted. But why let facts get in the way if your lies . If you wat to get people on board with any ideas you have , cut out the lies.
So Cardoza put in the infrastructure to fit the 100 or so new seats? These owners were forced to replace the seats after going 6 months not doing so!.. How much money did that cost the club?

The capacity of the east stand in 1996 was 1800 plus...Not 1700..I can see what you're doing here 😀 You can't count the toilet seats, bar stools or dining chairs.. 🤔

Would be interesting to know what fag packet calculations the New Hotel End team had done on their fag packet drawings for comparison. Although Im guessing none as they did pretty pictures and then expected everyone else to do the hard bit.
I genuinely have no idea how much it costs to build a stand but based on some of the reports that others have posted, and the information from Carton Lid the other day it seems reasonable. I also to a certain extent accept your costings if we want a breeze block stand with a second hand mini fridge and microwave for hospitality and a meccano extension to the south stand.
One example I found quickly is the new stand at Luton. Cost between £10 - £13m from what I can see. Similar size to East stand with only 1 box. So all in all I would say a comparable cost.
This Stand was already built, The structure was in place, just needed some fitting out.. £5,800.000... Wow...

The temporary stand that Wrexham put in cost £400k. Granted, that contains about 3000 seats but it's also an open structure akin to the Meccano stand at the County Ground or that monstrosity at Gillingham.
According to their sums, they won't see a return on their investment from those extra 3000 bums on seats either, they just did it to allow more fans in, but that's an option when you have money bags owners and isn't really viable for clubs trying to operate within a sustainable model.
Do they not charge £20 per seat? Everytime they sell these seats they make £60,000 ..do that 20 times a season.. £1,200,000. Paid for by Christmas.. May I ask who have you been talking to? Get back on the phone to Kelvin he's messed up!

Better tell Rob and Ryan then because they seem to think they are losing money on the deal.... https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/revealed-how-much-temporary-wrexham-stand-cost-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-hollywood-six-figure-hit/bltc8d4ee1cdeb3a592#cs7cafc27a55d07c2cIf you don't want to read the whole thing (I know evidence and facts offend you) just grit your teeth and read this bit: Explaining that decision in the Welcome to Wrexham documentary series, Reynolds said: “Rob had proposed 'What would happen if we put 2,500 seats in that area' just temporarily... Makes absolutely zero sense financially.” McElhenney added: “We will figure it out. We are going to lose a significant amount of money on it. However, I believe it's a competitive advantage to be able to close that stadium... it's going to be twice as loud.”

You’re arguing with a mouldy banana peel.
I talked my 8 year old through those costings above and asked him what he would do.
He told me he needs a poo.
Moral of the story is, they know they’re talking nonsense but they like to do it.

Yes.. In a nutshell.
We probably only have: Wrexham, Birmingham, Bolton this season who will sell above the current offering. So saying "regular" is nonsense. None of them to the tune 4000 paying customers as you ridiculously suggest. Barnsley, Reading, Peterborough, Mansfield, who might be slightly over. But in most of there visits they have requested a maximum of 1-2 hundred additional tickets. So if we accept that were probably missing out on, at a generous guess 6000 fans. Pricing them at £30 to allow for the few that buy catering. After policing, stewards, running costs, you're probably losing 120k per year. If you spend just 1.2 million on expanding, that means a ten year recoup for owners that you know full well have stated repeatedly that the club it up for sale.
I don't doubt your passion. But if you think expansion is the key to success, it only serves to show what a limited insight you have into the nonsensical economics of football. The club could sign a stand sponsorship for the newly developed East stand tomorrow, that without laying a further brick, would yield a better return than expanding the south stand for the next 10-15 years.
You have to realise you don't get penalised for not selling every single seat every game, just sell an extra 10 or 20% tickets a season can turn over £500k plus. Also it's seem very short term to look for an instant return on investment when our clubs been around 130 years and will be still here in 130 more! What happens when you build a warehouse and miss out on ticket sales, will be losses in the 10s of millions in a decades time, many 1000s will miss out watching bigger games resulting in poor league positions and further loses as a consequence... As you were..

Let's see , Oxford will have several 12000 sell out ti's season we won't have 1 of just 8000. Do you seriously believe we couldn't sell over 10,000 for game against Birmingham Posh and a good few others? Who have you been speaking to, Thomas? Extending the south stand by 3000 gives the potential to maximise ticket sales to the several biggest games in a L1 season, thus putting upto £500k extra into the coffers and more importantly allowing all those wanting to attend do so. Also the club have virtually banned all under 14s from attendaning games at Sixfields to stop them acquiring seats for £5 that would otherwise be sold for £25 ... That is killing off any chances of these young fans becoming future long term supporters. This is of no interest to land aquirerers as they won't be here so suits them for Sixfields to be a non league facility forever more.
Apologies for quoting my own post, but I was surprised no one from the £5.8m non league stand appreciation society commented on it. Let's talk about a redevelopment that actually allows U14s to attend matches at Sixfields and not be barred... According to Thomas we have ample seats but places restrictions on essential new supporters watching the bigger games and getting on board. Feet to the fire time...

Under 14s can attend games but have to be accompanied by an adult

Er...no. Have you seen the amount of building work going on inside the stand with brickwork etc. creating toilet blocks, lifts, lounges, working kitchen and of course the executive boxes. So, when you say stand was built it was literally just the shell. On top of that you've got the outside of the stand (reception area) and cladding along with road and parking areas.

You have to realise you don't get penalised for not selling every single seat every game, just sell an extra 10 or 20% tickets a season can turn over £500k plus.
That figure is based on us attracting 10-15% per every home fixture. For which we don't need to expand anything for. For all but three games, we will easily accommodate that percentage of increase already.. You and Duston need to go back to the thick controller and tell him you're sinking with nothing more than his fictional figures.
