He’s clueless, often calls players by the wrong name, I have watched games on iFollow when Toggle is commentating and his commentary bares no resemblance to what is happening on the pitch..
He is however blindly optimistic and enthusiastic which is endearing.
Unfortunately anyone that gets a Sam Hoskins tattoo is a bit of a knob.

Tim (as well as his colleagues) consistently give an eloquent coverage of our beloved NTFC, especially when you understand the financial constraints they are faced with.

More Tim less Manwork! 😄

It was a bet that he lost, if he had taken the wager and not fullfilled his obligation, would you have called him a bigger knob?
Anyways, the best that Radio Noddy had for years was Joe Townsend.  FACT

I'm not sure eloquent is the right word, but I like having a true Cobblers fan like Tim as a commentator. He makes plenty of mistakes, but his supreme optimism and shameless bias towards the Cobblers at all times is all part of the charm. There's always the co-commentator to add a bit of perspective.

I don’t know what everyone is on about, I reckon he’s terrific. Love Terry Angus as well and he gets a bit of stick sometimes. In fact I’m a bit like Jesus, there’s nobody I don’t love.

I love Tim. I even tried having the TV muted and Radio Northampton on at the same time on Saturday so I could hear their commentary instead of the inane ramblings of some random sitting in his bedroom that Sky have chucked a couple of quid to.

Unfortunately there's about a minute delay on the Sky stream so it didn't work!

I don't bother with the pictures, no matter how desperate things are there's always a light at the end of the tunnel with Tim on the mike.

Must be very cold for the people working on the East and South stands, the November sun glinting off the new glazing looks amazing. Still no signs of any warehouses springing up

I think we are very fortunate to have the coverage we do on Radio Northampton. Not all clubs at our level receive such coverage. Their whole Sport coverage is really good as well as all the live Cobblers, Saints and Northants matches, reports and updates on the non-League teams there are also special shows in the week for Non-League, Saints, Cobblers, Cricket and general sport. I think it's excellent. I don't get to hear too many live games on their now as I'm often at the match. Tim has great enthusiasm and knowledge and is a pleasant chap as well. My only recent gripe, and it was one Jon Brady picked up on on Saturday when he referred to Guthrie and Eyoma as regular centre-backs. JB reminded him that Eyoma was sat on the sofa 3 weeks ago and is now playing 100+ minutes therefore not a regular centre-back at the moment. I think what Tim meant was they are the ONLY centre-backs fit at the moment. Anyway long live Radio Northampton and Tim O.

If it had been the other way round, it would have been fine!  Grin Grin

In all seriousness though, I love listening to Tim. You don't listen to Radio Northampton, you tune into Tim! Many an afternoon when we are away from home these days is spent in my caravan in Hemsby with the phone on loudspeaker as a result of me calling my Dad up and getting him to stick the phone next to his wireless!  Grin

We (son and myself) like to predict when the next hold onto your hats folks is going to come up, always chuckle when someone has their pocket picked etc. We also used to predict when he'd remind us to tune in to Bernie Keiths Rock n Roll Heaven (for the converted, it was normally around the 30 minute mark and 60 minute mark).

Listening to Tim on a Satdee when you cant make the game is the equivalent of listening to Jim Reeves when you put the Christmas Tree up. I think most people love him to bets, there's just a few out there who slate him but I guess that goes with the job eh!

I quite like Tim he is usually positive about our prospects in the upcoming game but he does get things wrong. Last Saturday he referred to Richard O'Donnell in goal for Blackpool as our former loan 'keeper but we signed him on a 2.1/2 year contract but after 6 months he triggered an escape clause when we got relegated because he didn't want to play in division 2. He joined Bradford who were still in division 1 and 12 months later was relegated with them.

As I said anyone that gets a Sam Hoskins tattoo is special, and not in a good way.
