I don’t know where you got that idea from 🤷🏻‍♂️

I know.. It's too far fetched to possibly be true. I mean... Who in their right mind would........ Nah. I can't even go there.. It would be ridiculous.

Simple question to the 3 or 4 cynical posters who do not know what supporting a club means.

List the facilities NTFC have now that weren't here when Thomas and Bower bought the club!

I believe it is a list to be proud of!

Did smile at the commentator last night. Mentioned how Sammo was a player when we moved into Sixfields in 1995 and although its on the edge of the town the fans have grown to love it.  Grin
Even I thought that was pushing it a bit!! He did also mention how there is no VAR in League 2 (sic) so not sure he had any clue.

Also missing are the 1 or 2 that often herald Peterborough as being the best ran club with all the money they make from transfers etc. Where have all those millions got them? Playing in a part empty sixfields, loosing to their rivals who are now on the same number of points.

A really interesting interview with a Peterborough fan was put out by the Its All Cobblers to Me podcast team. It completely turns pretty much all the assumed perspectives regarding the comparisons between clubs on their head.

I can't believe there are any people out there who think like that. Although if there are, they are probably the sort of people who couldn't even resist getting a couple of digs in at the owners while saying thank you to Jon Brady...

Having demanded it for so long you’d think certain people would be over the moon. All of a sudden for some inexplicable reason that general objective has been completely disregarded to the extent that it now seems to be portrayed as a negative by those same individuals. A cynical person might start to think it was never really about the stand in the first place. Surely that can’t be true?

Dented egos and unachieved undemocratic secret objectives leading to ongoing sporadic bile.

Indeed….
I leave the list to those who stamp their feet and state they’re never coming back 😂

Looks like a whole load of new parking is going to become available on matchdays - the cinema is closing.

Would be a good location for some warehouses.

And the dear lady commentator referred to us as Northants!

Watched the game back today and it looks so much better on TV now the stand is nearly finished. Yes we all wanted something bigger and better (and that's VERY well documented) but it's going to be a huge improvement on the empty shell we've had for the last 10 years. Almost looks like an actual football ground.

If the ends were ever extended I actually think it would be a pretty decent stadium. But either way it's an improvement that should be welcomed.

An interesting idea. However, it won’t matter how much is spent or what is developed there will be no welcoming without caveats from some quarters. Although it seems from this point forward there needs to be a welcome degree of accuracy attached to the rhetoric.

I did notice last night the extra rows of seating in the "away section" of the East Stand, looks like they've added four or five more rows just at that end.

Of course it's not fantastic but it's a legacy development as a result of theft/corruption/incompetence and as such I think they are making a good job of it. I do think the ends will be extended in the fullness of time (not such a big financial commitment) and I agree - make the ends the same height as the West Stand and we will have a decent 11,000 capacity tidy ground.

Same as the Peterborough fans I talk to, they say the same. One or two get the headlines, 10-15 they lose money on. They have to sell players for money or they will go bust. Its not a business model we want to replicate.

IMO it's only a business model supported by someone with very deep pockets...

That’s what the man said. Paraphrasing, also said frustrated with finally getting a gold nugget after 15 failed attempts and then they have to sell them to survive. Fed up with getting into the championship, getting their arses kicked for a whole season then coming back down. They do not have the resources or the support base to progress beyond where they are so need to recognise that and be careful what they wish for otherwise they might have no club at all. Make of that what you will.
