Looks like a whole load of new parking is going to become available on matchdays - the cinema is closing.
I was actually talking about what they will do with that land now, if anything that could be an ideal place to have a fanzone which the club could operate, The building is already there and there is plenty of space too for parking which could help ease problems on matchdays. I think its certainly something the club should be exploring imo.

I doubt that! If Cineworld couldn't get favourable rental terms from the landlord to operate a 7 day a week 12 hour a day operation, then we will stand no chance getting terms to support a fortnightly couple of hours!

How big a building do you want for a fanzone? Never going to happen.

Simple question to the 3 or 4 cynical posters who do not know what supporting a club means.
List the facilities NTFC have now that weren't here when Thomas and Bower bought the club!
I believe it is a list to be proud of!
Try this list..Things we had/lost.. Please feel free to correct if not right... Running Track and surrounding 23 acres, £16,000,000 debts...wasted 10 years waiting a tiny non league stand fit out, costing an astronomical £5,800,000..Still not finished. What hasn't changed is we're still a struggling lowly league club playing out of a non league ground.... Be proud of all that if you can.

Let me make one thing absolutely clear, the Trust “advisor” is not god. Are you going to tell him or shall I?

Never owned the running track and it was replaced elsewhere for the running club. £16m debt…. Expand please. Best facilities we’ve ever had….. Most successful period in our history given the gap in finances in the Prem and Championship vs the 60s. Reality is we’re a top end of league two bottom of league one club. Our natural position…. Happy enjoying that we’re no longer cannon fodder applying for re election as we used to in the 80s. Now you keep on crying Beds and go and knock one out over the drawings that Luton and FGR have published.

£100m for a tiny non league fit out wooden stadium with only 5000 capacity? I really hope theres a Beds equivalent constantly trolling the FGR forums banging on about the population of Gloucestershire.

Exactly….. but he won’t say a thing because it blows his already nonsensical fag packet maths out of the water!

As I always say, if wrong will stand to be corrected.. In fact would love it if NTFC could use a few of those the acres to improve the ground making it more professional with a 10 000 capacity to begin with. But now it looks like that poxy little over polished, not fit for purpose stand is all we're getting from multiple millions of loans and use of council land. Those big arsed club badges about to be stuck on the tiny stand will certainly impress the easily pleased on here 😀 Nobody knows anything for sure, this is what I believe has happened and I will happily be corrected. But even I'm uncertain as to why we're giving up the running track and getting a warehouse looming over the ground instead of a 10,000 capacity stadium..Is it a good thing to be the first professional club in the world to ship out goods instead of selling matchday tickets? These are very strange times at our football club... Let's keep our eyes on the ball and not drop it this time. This is my club...I won't be silenced. It's up to them to be more transparent and fair.

The players used to used it for training purposes and was certainly part of the Sixfields project.. Scattering old plastic chairs throughout and allowing it to grow wild doesn't relinquish ownership. I read somewhere that that's the total of loans and fit out cost...Wouldn't it be great if that wasn't the case? We could start planning the south stand expansion tomorrow! £10m plus £5.8m tiny stand fit out.....also the land is valued at £20m so ...That will pay back the owners? let the owners confirm what the total debts are, all I know if those are the figures we haven't had what I would call value for money! As for our natural position.. taking all things into consideration..a damned sight better than where we are..Playing in a 7800 non league standard stadium will always dictate lower league football even a centrally located club with an exclusive catchment of 300,000 like NTFC can't grow with such poor infrastructure. You get owners coming in these past 20 years who are more interested in the land than growing the club, and this has left our club 2 decades behind where it should be and will take another one to recover, which is why my 50 years of attendance has ceased (just the odd game 😉) So you can't use historical failures as a reason to inhibit the clubs natural growth... Brentford Brighton Watford Luton Wrexham etc.. have all bit the dust and came back....What stops us , apart from the cursed land which has now gone, so hopefully we can recover with new ownership soon? As for best facilities ever, if you were to fix an ashtray on a motorbike that to would take that award...
