I don't know if AGM and general stuff still gets posted or it's just emails now, but a few years ago when we sent out AGM stuff a GDPR Form was always sent as well. So member had lots of opportunities to give the Trust their email, if they had one or if they wanted to.

It’s been thirty three years since a significant number of life members joined. So I would say you could comfortably take 20% - 30% off their numbers. A few year back they had a thousand members. So it shows the drop out rate and the lack of uptake in recent years. I think there should be a Trust. But over 80% of our average home gate disagree with me.. Social media is way more representative of our support than the Trust. Us included.

When the East Stand finally opens, is that the end of this thread?

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!

We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

When people stop posting on it, it’s the end of this thread.

I’ve a feeling with the clubs current on field form the grand opening of the east stand will be a damp squib
It’ll be hard to reconcile the long awaited opening with an inability to score, let alone win and an impending relegation.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we push the grand opening back to the beginning of next season as it won’t be a good look to have it opened to another probable defeat ,a chorus of boos and chants of sack the board….

Unfortunately currently it is a possibility.

Hopefully the club will realise that the grand opening needs to be a bit of a measured affair. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to see the whole unnecessary debacle come to an end. But it is more a case of finally, rather than hurrah.

Wrong!
I've already booked a box for a game this season.

I hope the club show a bit of a sense of humour when opening. Along the lines of 'better late than never' and 'they said it wouldnt be done'

I’ve paid for a season ticket for five years knowing I’m not well enough to attend……
I keep doing my bit though.
Maybe if everyone else bought another ST and didn’t attend we could afford some decent league one signings Grin
I did go past the ground the other day and it could do with a spruce up as it’s looking tatty before the grand opening but the new stand does look very good.
I hope you have a good day

Not unless they build the new seats that were in the published plans and that are apparently definitely still being installed...

North Stand needs tripling with a stage, microbrewery and box park/ hgv parking or else.

650000000000 people within spitting distance waiting to spend their shekels on programs, beers and half time lemon sherberts.

Until there’s a reason to arrive early and stay after the final whistle I’m off sharpish.

I don’t think I have ever disagreed with a post more. I think the opening of the Thomas-Bower Amphitheater should be on a scale not dissimilar to the opening of the Olympic Games. It really is starting to look quite special, the boys have done us proud. Any volunteers for torch bearing duties, obviously some will be excluded given they will be responsible for a naked flame.

I will ask Sir Sadiq Khan to be one of the guests of honour, along with the Starmtrooper and Rachel from accounts…….we could spunk any player money on fireworks, that should keep people happy for a t least 30seconds.
