I don’t think I have ever disagreed with a post more. I think the opening of the Thomas-Bower Amphitheater should be on a scale not dissimilar to the opening of the Olympic Games. It really is starting to look quite special, the boys have done us proud. Any volunteers for torch bearing duties, obviously some will be excluded given they will be responsible for a naked flame.
Theres probably a few torch bearer volunteers, but they'll probably come with pitch forks too  Grin

I will ask Sir Sadiq Khan to be one of the guests of honour, along with the Starmtrooper and Rachel from accounts…….we could spunk any player money on fireworks, that should keep people happy for a t least 30seconds.
With people being charged for breaking rules and alleged fraudulent activity surely Boris is more the poster boy  Wink

He 100% has to be a troll, he's taken the number of boxes down from his usual rambling now to 8 instead of his usual argument of 10 (which, is also still incorrect)

I know most of you are keen programme buyers (!), but in case you're not, there are some interesting comments from Kelvin Thomas on the East Stand and the Land..I'll laboriously type them out:

'We haven't firmed up our plans yet but we are moving closer to our original plan of using it for employment land and warehousing. We are talking about whether we develop it ourselves or partner with a developer.

We are edging towards developing it ourselves and there is a lot of land.

...it will be a big project that will take time and it might take a number of years...

....looking at three or four year year build after planning.

.....income from the land will come into the club. We will take a view on how the money can best be used by the club at that time.

It could be funding the running of the club, it could be paying debts, maybe look at expanding the stadium further.'

So for anyone anxious about the closure of this thread, don't fret, you've got a few more years before it's completed..

You might want to rethink your Board aspirations Michael, if that pans out the caterwauling will be unbearable.

I'll be happy to support his application on the understanding he keeps his wonderfully refreshing mindset once he's on the board

Went past the ground yesterday evening and noticed a huge club crest has been added to the back of the stand. Looks great! Also noticed wording next to the crest reading ‘LS Stand’… have I missed this, did the club already announce naming/sponsorship for the East Stand? Possible the LS wasn’t the finished wording.

Wasn’t at Saturday’s game so could just be late to the party on this one…

It would be somewhat fitting if it ends up being called the plastic stand
