Excellent - their reviews go across the pyramid of clubs plus some overseas ones - always entertaining and as you say unbiased.

Worth a look at his blogs as they are so varied and can be Real Madrid one week, Slough Town, some egg chasing nonsense then a German 3rd division game. If he’s making a living out of it then good luck to him as that would be great to do. https://x.com/paddedseat/status/1914237609674416375?s=46&t=u7Y-71UW8bj6jSt3EiAOKA

Mannys favourite cut and paste, the Deloitte Report 2024 for the 22/23 season. Just a taste of the finances required as of a couple of years ago. These figures have increased significantly since. As I said, a challenge. https://www.deloitte.com/uk/en/services/consulting-financial/research/annual-review-of-football-finance-football-league-clubs.htmlEdit: from the net. The average ground capacity in EFL League One is approximately 14,368. The largest stadium in the league is St Andrew's, holding 30,016 spectators, while the smallest is The Broadfield Stadium with a capacity of 5,996. So as a general observation the average capacity this season is over 14k and the average loses are exceeding 5 million given they have increased since the Deloitte report. Therefore even if we spend the money to get up to 12,000 our capacity will still be below average and our losses will still increase significantly to compete at the top end financially even with ground expansion. The Championship is a whole other level.

Football isn’t a business, it’s a passion, anyone who tries to make money from it is a fool.

Thats irrelevant mate, it still needs someone to finance it at that kind of level.

Need a Euromillions winner with a love for the club and a blind spot for sensible spending! That big jackpot the other week of £200 million could have produced enough annual interest to have a Cobblers bonanza.
One can dream. Shall we get together a little syndicate?

Should have took you up on your offer. I’d have enthused a bit more just for effect and to annoy any plasterers and legal advisers out there. Does look decent though.

The other match day experience of a Grand Union barge cruise listening to radio Noddy, whilst watching a duck flash its arśe in the canal has not proved quite as popular. Perhaps the hill will get an opportunity to redeem itself?

I listened to the excellent fans forum online this morning. What a positive experience it was as well, from the reactions of the attendees to the completed East Stand, to the professionalism of the management team regarding the on the pitch planning and strategies for next season. It does seem that some of the anti club protagonists made some serious errors of judgement during their alternative mission. I would like to think the culprits would make themselves accountable by being magnanimous enough to apologise for some of the appalling, misguided, unjustified commentary, accusations and conduct that have taken place over the last few years. Perhaps once those responsible make themselves accountable for some of the issues, will we finally be able to draw a line under what has turned out to be a very good outcome for the club and it’s history. That is in-spite of the very best efforts of the disruptive few.

Goodness knows how many times the main protagonists were told to hold fire, and to stop the diatribe. Yet they persisted in the same cycle of abuse and false information, to discredit those that were actually doing something. As I said all along. You are always going to be prone to some fcuked up types with the internet giving them a voice. Thankfully they actually run nothing. Other than their mouths.

No but they can (and did) make a lot of noise and throw obstacles in the way. In the end it was all ineffective, but it showed things down and made life far more difficult than it needed to be for those running the club.

I showed my wife the padded seat video and she was very impressed and despite the fact that she doesn't really like football she's super keen on trying it out next season. Does anyone have any insight on demand levels and realisticaly how early you would have to book to secure a couple of seats. We both felt £90 was reasonable especially if you could get a little knocked off if you are an existing season ticket holder. By the way thank you to all at the club who were invoved in making this happen.

My first time in the new East yesterday. Is it just because I'm very old and my senses are failing, or does the public address system sound as loud as a bee's fart?
