An update for East Stand match and season ticket holders
Northampton Town would like to advise supporters that the East Stand won't be open for the upcoming games.
However, the club will be working with SAG (the Safety Advisory Group) and constructors the Buckingham Group to have the stand open as soon as possible.
"As with any building project of this magnitude, there is some uncertainty over timings but for those supporters who want to plan, we will swap their East Stand season tickets for a season ticket in an alternative stand," said Chairman David Cardoza.
"In particular we acknowledge our wheelchair supporters as they don't have any equivalent, alternative accommodation anywhere else in the stadium. We understand that and we appreciate their frustration.
"We will be able to update supporters further in the very near future but I would like to take this opportunity to thank all supporters for their patience and we will endeavour to have the stand open as soon as possible.
"We are working as hard as we possibly can behind the scenes and will make further announcements as soon as we can."
Swapping an East Stand season ticket for a season ticket in another stand is not an admission that the stand will not open this season. It is simply a gesture to try and help East Stand season ticket holders, many of whom live out of the area, and prevent them having to make trips to Sixfields to swap tickets on a game by game basis. When the stand is open we will of course swap the season tickets back but the club feel this is the method of least disruption for those supporters affected.

At least they've done the right thing and issued season tickets in alternative stands until completion.
I hope the ES ST holders get some goodies when it's done. Maybe a new branded flask and blanket.

Are the boxes going to be single or double height? Looking at the latest pictures there seems to be a vast amount of space above the rows for seating.
