Are you suggesting the problems have all gone away?! Sadly, we're still closer to the beginning of this whole sorry saga than we are to the end. This will be our first 1000 page thread.

and not a single thing has been achieved, learned or explained.

But please, carry on, it's not hurting anybody and you'll be bored with no football to talk about.

Me? I'll be having the summer off from the hotel End as usual but I'll be back for pre-season. I'm expecting big things, well there has to be or pressure will begin to BUILD.

See. I linked the two things.

To be fair, quite a few things have been explained - but I fully accept that you may not have understood them.

Looking forward to seeing the squad redeveloped in the summer...

I wonder if that quote will make it on the stand grand opening publicity material

I hadn't heard that line till viewing that footage just now. It's as if the whole affair has nothing to do with him. Similar to Johnson blaming Sammo and everyone else but himself for his failure.  Grin Oh well, such is life and all that.

Expect a deafening silence on this thread now.

Surely a contender for the most misplaced attempt to gloat ever?
You should be celebrating at this time. Without you and your six comrades, I'm not sure this project would have got off the ground again.

Can we tell what this £6m beauty is yet?

That aside, it is really good news and fingers (and everything crossed) that we will have 4 useable stands in August. It should add to something else often misplaced. Pre-season omptimism.  Grin

Apologies you are correct, new accounts filed today show a £900,000 loss covered by the long term loan. The long terms debts jumped from £6.6m to £14.7 million suggesting £8.1m of the council loan has been drawn down by NTFC.

Never mind. I'm reliably told that we'd have gone bust without DC.  Grin Grin

That was way back when we owed the princely sum of £500,000.

I know you're seriously minted Nige but where I come from £500.000 is still a princely sum.

As I understand it, £10.25 million of the loan has been drawn down but some repayments have been made. I wonder how much smaller the loss would have been if the East Stand had been open at least from the Burton game on 11 Oct 2014 as promised - ie what the "opportunity cost" is of the redevelopment fiasco?
